  • Transportation & Safety Guidelines

  • To ensure your safety and well-being after a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) medical session, you must adhere to the following guidelines:

    Transportation Requirements

    - Arrange for safe transportation home with an adult you trust (e.g., a spouse, partner, family member, or friend).

    - Alternatively, you may use a certified ride service such as Uber or Lyft.
You may not drive or operate any vehicles or machinery for the remainder of the day following your Ketamine session.

  • Aftercare Expectations

  • It is normal to experience changes in emotionality, cognitive processing, or physical sensations after a KAP session. Please review and consent to the following aftercare guidelines:

    Emotional Processing
You may feel heightened emotionality, including joy, relief, sadness, or introspection.
Journaling, mindfulness, and self-reflection are encouraged during this time.

    Physical Sensations
Some clients experience mild dizziness, nausea, or fatigue after a session.
Resting and staying hydrated can help alleviate these symptoms.

    Diet and Hydration
Avoid alcohol or recreational substances for at least 24 hours post-session.
    Eat lightly and hydrate well.

    Cognitive Changes
You may experience shifts in thought patterns, mental clarity, or increased introspection.
Take time to reflect but avoid making significant life decisions within 24–48 hours after the session.

  • Integration Therapy Recommendations

  • Integration therapy is a critical component of KAP treatment to solidify and extend the benefits of the session. This phase helps you process your experience and apply insights gained during your Ketamine session.

    Timing of Integration Therapy
We recommend scheduling your first integration session 24–48 hours after your Ketamine session. This period is when neural pathways are more pliable, and the potential for change is greatest.

    Frequency of Integration Therapy
Continued integration sessions are highly recommended to support your therapeutic goals and maximize the long-term benefits of KAP.

    Purpose of Integration
Integration therapy provides a safe space to:
     - Explore the emotional and cognitive insights gained from your Ketamine session.
     - Build new patterns of thinking, behavior, and emotional regulation while the brain remains more flexible.
     - Reinforce therapeutic gains and translate them into lasting change.

  • Emergency Contact Plan

  • If you experience distress or concerning symptoms after your session:

     - Contact your clinician or the Temenos Center.
     - For urgent medical concerns, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

  • Should be Empty:
