ASI Elections Appeal Form

Please note that appeals may only be filed by a Complainant or Defendant of the Elections Complaint process or a member of the ASI Elections Complaint Committee. The Elections Complaint Committee will act as the defendant in all elections-related appeals.

If filing an appeal, please submit this form no later than 4:00 pm on the third academic day after the Elections Complaint Committee issues its written decisions (Made public by the ASI Executive Director).

One (1) Student Affairs Designee: Quran Green, Associate Director of Residential Education

Appeal Allegations

Specify the section of the ASI Elections Code or the ASI Bylaws that you allege were violated, and identify the individuals involved, or describe other conduct that unfairly affected the Elections Compliant Committee (ECC) Decision. Remember that the Appellate Council may only overturn the original decision due to a violation of applicable rules or laws governing the elections (The Fair Hearing Plan, the Elections Code, and the ASI Bylaws). The Appellate Council is not authorized to re-hear complaints from the Elections Complaint Committee.

Evidence 

Please provide a brief summary of the oral and written evidence in support of this complaint including the names of witnesses you expect to testify.

Remedy 

Please propose one or more remedies that you find to be appropriate, and which the Elections Complaint Committee is authorized to grant under part X of the ASI Elections Code.
