SAA Installer – Solar & Battery Installations:

We are seeking an experienced SAA-accredited installer to join our growing solar and battery installation team. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading small installation teams, delivering high-quality rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems, and ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Australian Standards and industry requirements.
You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience installing rooftop and/or ground-mounted solar systems, hold all required licences, and have a proven track record in the solar industry. Experience with hybrid inverters, battery energy storage systems, EV chargers, switchboard upgrades, monitoring systems, and commissioning will be highly regarded.
This role requires someone who can take ownership of the installation process, support apprentices and tradespeople, communicate clearly with clients, and maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading a small team on residential and light commercial solar installations
Installing rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems
Installing and assisting with battery energy storage systems
Ensuring all work is completed safely, neatly, and to a high standard
Certifying installation compliance in line with SAA requirements
Completing Greenbot, compliance, STC, warranty, and handover documentation
Reading and interpreting solar designs, single-line diagrams, and site documentation
Managing site workflow, materials, tools, and daily installation targets
Conducting pre-start checks, toolbox talks, and site safety inspections
Enforcing safe work practices, including working at heights and electrical isolation procedures
Supporting and mentoring apprentices, trades assistants, and junior installers
Communicating professionally with clients, suppliers, inspectors, and office staff
Assisting with commissioning, testing, monitoring setup, and customer handover
Essential requirements:
Current electrical licence
Current SAA accreditation for Grid-Connect Install
SAA Design accreditation will be highly regarded
Minimum 2 years’ experience in solar installation
Strong understanding of Australian Standards and solar installation requirements
Working at Heights qualification
White Card
Clean driver’s licence
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance
Ability to lead a team and take responsibility for site outcomes
Highly regarded experience:
Battery installation experience
Hybrid inverter installation and commissioning
Sungrow, Fronius, Tesla, BYD, Sigenergy, SolaX, SolarEdge, or similar product experience
EV charger installation experience
Switchboard upgrades and consumer mains experience
Ground-mounted solar systems
Light commercial solar projects
Use of Greenbot or similar compliance platforms
Customer handover and system monitoring setup
