Melissa's Wish Scholarship was established in loving memory of Melissa Tetlow. Melissa graduated from Lockport Township High School in 2010 and went on to become a successful baker and shop manager at the Plush Horse. Her love for creating masterpieces in the kitchen knew no bounds. She enjoyed making others happy, often through a delicious baked good or a fun-flavored ice cream. Her mind was always full of new and innovative ideas, and her love for others was loud - everyone who knew her felt it.
On February 29th, 2024, Melissa suddenly passed away leaving behind a legacy that no one will forget. Because of her compassion for others and her ability to bring people together, we know that Melissa would be honored to help others who share her passion.
In her memory, the Tetlow family is proud to award the Melissa's Wish Scholarship to one LTHS senior pursuing a career in Culinary Arts. The scholarship amount is $500, which can be used for tuition, books, or other educational expenses. To apply, students must be attending a culinary arts program and submit an essay.
