  • Conditions for stabling at Oppistal/Innistal:

    Stabling fees must be paid in advance.
    An annual increase will take effect in January.
    An 8% late fee will be added to your account if fees are not received by the end of the month.
    Owners are welcome to visit the yard from 07:00 to 18:00.
    Riding is permitted only when other lessons are not in progress.
    Farrier fees (every six weeks) and deworming fees (every four months) will be billed to you.
    Vet fees incurred must be paid directly to the veterinarian.
    We reserve the right to call a veterinarian if your horse is sick or injured and we are unable to reach you.
    Vaccinations should be kept up to date annually. Vaccinations administered on your behalf will be billed to you.
    No horses will be allowed to leave the premises until all accounts are settled.

  • Conditions for Half-bait at Oppistal/Innistal

    1.⁠ ⁠The owner wishes to half bait the horse to the user.

    2.⁠ ⁠The user accept the owner's offer on terms and conditions as set out herein;

    3.⁠ ⁠The agreement shall continue indefinitely until one month's notice is given by either party or the agreement is cancelled in terms of the breach provisions of this agreement.

    4.⁠ ⁠The lease price payable in respect of the horse / pony will depend on the package. This amount is payable in advance.

    5.⁠ ⁠In addition to the lease fee, the user shall enroll for lessons.

    6.⁠ ⁠In addition to the lease fee, the user shall also be responsible for half the costs in terms of farriery, vaccinations and veterinarian costs as deemed necessary by the owner and shall include but not be limited to:
    •⁠ ⁠Farriery costs every six weeks
    •⁠ ⁠AHS, horse flue and tetanus (twice a year), strangles vaccinations
    •⁠ ⁠Deworming - twice a year
    •⁠ ⁠Cost for passport should the user want a passport for the horse / pony
    •⁠ ⁠Full cost of all show entries and associated costs
    •⁠ ⁠Any other costs reasonably associated with the horse/pony

    7.⁠ ⁠The horse/ pony shall not be worked for longer than one hour at a time without a rest period and more than two times a day.

    8.⁠ ⁠The user shall make use of the tack provided and shall not use any other tack on the horse / pony unless with prior agreement of the owner.

    9.⁠ ⁠All feeding and stabling arrangements will stay the responsibility of the owner.

    10.⁠ ⁠All risks and rights to the horse/ pony shall remain with the owner.

    11.⁠ ⁠In the event that the horse/pony die, while subjected to this agreement, neither party shall have any claim against the other. In the event that the horse/ pony should die as a result of injuries suffered while under the control of the of the user, the owner shall have no claim against the user except in the instance of gross negligence or intent, in which case the claim will be limited to the reasonable cost of the horse/pony and shall not include any consequential damages.

    12.⁠ ⁠The horse may not be re-located.

    13.⁠ ⁠Times will be agreed to when the horse/pony is used in lessons and not available to be ridden by the user.

    14.⁠ ⁠Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult when they ride on the farm. No supervision is available from Oppistal.

    15.⁠ ⁠All users must ride with a hard hat at all times.

    16.⁠ ⁠Any other regulations from Oppistal stays in place.

    17.⁠ ⁠Horses / ponies may not be ridden after 16:30 when they are stabled and fed.

    18.⁠ ⁠All tack used must be put away in the same condition as it was received.

  • If you wish to terminate this contract, a written notice of one calendar month is required. Outstanding fees will incur a collection commission, which may include attorney and tracing fees. We reserve the right to sell your horse if fees remain unpaid for more than three months.

    Although every necessary precaution will be taken to prevent accidents, neither Oppistal / Innistal / Die Stal Ministry or the instructors, facilitators, employees, any agents, guests nor other persons associated with Oppistal / Innistal / Die Stal Ministry or the said therapists/facilitators/instructors will be held responsible for any claims regarding a person arising from an accident which may occur whilst the person is on the premises or at any outing by or on behalf of Oppistal / Innistal / Die Stal Ministry or any of the said persons. This indemnity shall in addition be deemed operative as against any third person suffering damage consequent upon such injury, damage or death.

    Oppistal likes to celebrate achievements and as a result images may appear on our website, social media, newspaper articles, flyers, brochures etc. With your permission the images will be used in good taste.
