Expectations and Guidelines
The TOBA Leadership Institute is a commitment. As members of this cohort, you will be held to our high standards of professionalism to guarantee that the integrity and quality of our program is preserved.
This 6th class of innovative business and community leaders will continue to uphold the mission and vision of our program through the following expectations and guidelines:
- Participants are expected to attend all sessions with only one excused absence allowed
- Attendance at the opening briefing session and final project presentations is mandatory to graduate from the program
- Leaders must participate in the development of your assigned group’s Community Enhancement Plan (which will be discussed in detail at a later date)
- Through your group, you must attend all scheduled meetings to complete project needs
- Communicate with your group regularly through channels determined by your team (email, text, GroupMe, Zoom, etc.)
- Communicate not only with your group but with the TLI committee and TOBA Board members when needed
- Unless notified otherwise, business casual attire is expected at all TLI sessions (no jeans, sneakers, hats, etc.)
- Please ensure all sections are completed before submission
- Interviews take place in early February on Saturday
When approaching all aspects of the TOBA Leadership Institute, be flexible and open to learning, building, and expanding your professional network. Be sure to contribute and engage in TLI sessions with questions and comments when appropriate. This and the previous guidelines mentioned will ensure you graduate from the program with the best experience on your path to impacting your community and the Tampa Bay area communities at large.
