A self-disclosure is an opportunity to declare details of cautions or convictions that are not protected under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 in England, Scotland and Wales.
If you wish to make a self-disclosure, this should be emailed to:
recruitment@wigmore-hall.org.uk and marked clearly in the subject title as a confidential disclosure. Disclosures from candidates not taken to shortlisting phase will not be read and will be deleted once the appointment has been made.
The following will be taken into account by the selection committee when assessing disclosures: relevance, nature and seriousness; timescale; repetition; mitigating circumstances; changes and remorse; country of conviction; and decriminalisation. Depending on the outcome of this assessment, disclosures may be disregarded, the selection committee may ask for more information during the interview and vetting process, or the selection committee may reject the application.
