    The link to the HACD Hot Lunch Builder that you will be using in the Spreadsheet to Form widget is here. (If you want to copy that sheet and make it your own, you can! Just remember that you will need to update the sheet from the copy and not from the one linked here.)

    1. On the meals_from_518K page, enter the meals that you get from 518Kosher. You just need to fill out the sections that are highlighted in green.

    2. When you're done, move over to the spreadsheet_to_form page and enter in the Order Deadline. Again, that cell is highlighted in green. Please don't change the headings in the columns - the magic won't happen if you do that.

    3. Once you've finished that, download the entire sheet as an Excel file. Click on Upload Spreadsheet below and remove the existing spreadsheet and upload the new one. Make sure that you choose spreadsheet_to_form as the sheet and lunchMonthAndYear as the Access Code Column.

    4. For the Lunch Month & Year dropdown field, go to the Options tab and set the default month and year.

    1. change the Hot Lunch Builder Google Sheet spreadsheet_to_form tab to pull the month and year from the first lunch date on the meals_from_518K tab;
    2. change the Hot Lunch Builder Google Sheet spreadsheet_to_form tab to pull the number of meals from the meals_from_518K tab;
    3. remove the create_meals_text tab because Excel was adding dates to empty fields.

     

  • Spreadsheet to Form Fields

    Using the widget, remove last month's spreadsheet and upload this month's spreadsheet to the form.

  • Set Default Month and Year

    Every month, you need to change this! You do that in the Properties -> Options -> Default Value.

    There are {numberofmeals} lunches this month. The deadline for ordering lunch for {lunchMonth} is {orderDeadline}.

    Ordering Instructions

    Select Monthly Order if you would like your child to receive the same meal option every day that hot lunch is offered. You will then be able to choose one of the 3 meal options:

    • Junior Meal (a regular portion of the main meal)
    • Large Meal (a larger portion of the main meal - recommended for middle-schoolers)
    • Bagel & Cream Cheese Meal

    Select Daily Order if you would like your child to receive different meal options on different days.

    Important Notes

    • All meals are parve/dairy served by 518Kosher under the supervision of the Va’ad of Kashrut of the Capital District.
    • The Junior Meal and Large Meal options are served with a vegetable side and whole fruit.
    • The Bagel & Cream Cheese meal option is served with whole fruit.
    • Beverages will not be included. Milk will be provided by HACD and sold separately. We recommend that students bring a water bottle daily.
