Please note that there are specific eligibility criteria to be eligible for the #CaliforniansForAll College Corps Fellowship at Allan Hancock College and a limited number of positions available. We appreciate you taking your time and effort to complete this application!
What We’re Looking For
- Passion for serving in partnership with the community to make positive change;
- Flexibility to serve in different areas and adapt to changing circumstances;
- Growth mindset and eagerness to try new things;
- Interest in connecting with and learning from other students and partners across the state;
- Willingness to be an ambassador for the Fellowship on campus and beyond.
- Ability to commit to serving 450 hours over the course of the entire academic year- averaging 10-15 hours per week.
When You Would Serve
- The College Corps Fellowship will go from August 2025-May 2026
What You’ll Do
Fellows will serve within K-12 Education, Food Insecurity, and Climate Action Organizations to build healthier and more equitable communities across California. They will do this in a variety of ways:
- Running outreach and education programs for climate change organizations
- Serving in local schools and facilitating after school activties, including atheltics and tutoring programs
- Supporting and serving within basic-needs organizations
What You’ll Gain: Benefits
- A living allowance paid throughout service term, plus an Education Award paid upon completion of 450 service hours. Total financial benefit up to $10,000.

- Possible academic credit if arranged with your major department to satisfy internship, project, or coursework requirements
- Connections with Fellows across the state via a virtual community platform and regional events

Where You’ll Serve
The College Corps Fellowship program offers service positions in local nonprofits and municipal agencies within a reasonable distance from campus. Some examples of service sites from the previous year include:
Santa Maria:
- Allan Hancock College Basic Needs Department
- Food Bank of Santa Barbara County
- Good Samaritan Shelter after-school education program
- Santa Maria, Pioneer Valley, and Ernest Righetti High Schools and more!
Guadalupe/Nipomo/Orcutt:
- Guadalupe Nipomo Dunes Center
- Mary Buren Elementary School
- Nipomo Native Gardens
- Orcutt Academy High School
Lompoc:
- Clarence Ruth, Hapgood, and Leonora Fillmore Elementary Schools
- Good Samaritan Shelter Lompoc Farm
- Lompoc Teen Center
