  • Do you have a creative skill you'd love to share with others? Whether it's sewing, needle felting, basket weaving, watercolor, wood carving, music, or any other craft, we invite you to become an instructor at Pacifica! Our nonprofit space is all about building community through hands-on learning, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.

    By signing up to teach your class, you get to set your own fees and share your passion with a welcoming, engaged audience. Pacifica will support you with the tools and resources to help make your class a success.

    Keep in mind that Pacifica operates with a small staff, and we have tried to streamline processes as much as possible to make this a success for all! There will be very limited to no edits for flyers and sign up forms. 

    Teacher Responsibilites: 

    • Fill out a new form for each class with all the necessary information required.
    • Determine fee for your class. If materials are needed, we highly recommend that you include materials and add that into the price.
    • Be the point of contact for your event. Pacifica staff will direct all questions to you. 
    • Communicate with attendees before and after event. Manage refunds if needed, please review Pacifica Refund Policy below.
    • Provide high-quality photos for Pacifica promotional materials.
    • Promote and market your class. Determine how many sign ups you need to make the class happen.

    Pacifica Responsibilities: 

    • Create registration form and Google sheet. 
    • Create flyer to share with instructors, if requested.
    • Add to website events calendar. 
    • Collect payment & reimburse instructor.
    • Quarterly newsletter inclusion promoting all events.

  • FLYER TEMPLATE: 

    You have the choice to get a premade flyer (shown in image) from Pacifica for an additional $20 flyer fee. 

    The fee will be deducted from your reimbursement check. Be sure to include it, if needed, in the cost of your class. 

    If you would prefer to create your own flyer, you will be responsible for posting it around Pacifica and sending it to us to promote on our socials.

  • Will your event be multiple days? Is it a series of classes/workshops? Please expand on your idea below.

    i.e. Every Monday for 7 weeks, Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3 weeks, a weekend workshop, one day only, annually, biannually, once a month, twice a month, etc.

  • Pricing

    Things to Consider: 

    • How much do you want to make per hour?
    • How many participants would you need to make this class happen? 
    • $20 Flyer Fee (if requested)
    • Pacifica will deduct 20% of your sales to cover operating expenses
    • Cost of materials/tools

    MUST READ: Pacifica will create the sign up form via Jotform for your class. We will collect payments through Square and send you a reimbursement check after your class, deducting all fees. We will add on an additional transaction fee to cover the Square costs, transaction fees are based off of the cost of your class and will not be deducted from your reimbursement. Our transaction fee is rounded up to the nearest dollar.

    Example: If you are charging $25 per person, your class will be listed online as $26 to cover the $1 transaction fee. You will still get $25 per person. 

    You will get paid the full amount that you list below. Pacifica staff is happy to assist you in creating a fair cost for your class.

    Instructors will manage ALL communication with participants. If requesting a refund, you will need to communicate with Pacifica staff. Please review the refund policy that is always listed on sign up forms: 

    Payment and Refund Policy: Full payment at time of registration is required. Up until two weeks prior to the start of the event, you will receive a full refund (minus a $10 service charge) should you need to cancel your registration. However, cancellations made after this two-week time frame are nonrefundable​. Should Pacifica cancel the event, all participants will receive a full refund or credit toward future classes.
