Position Descriptions & Requirements
Counselors - must be 19 and older & volunteer for the full week (including overnight) Each counselor is assigned two campers and a buddy counselor who also has two campers. The primary role of a counselor is to provide care and supervision to their assigned campers and buddies throughout the daily activities of camp. This role requires energy, patience, love, and a willingness to look beyond your own needs in order to wholeheartedly serve the children in your care. Training is mandatory. *Counselors will be staying at camp Sunday July 20th to prepare for the week of camp and connect with buddy counselors
Dream Team - Provide a needed break for our counselors and spend two hours with two campers Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Spend the evening hearing about the kids day, reading stories, playing games, and helping them prepare for bed. Must be 18 or older. Training is mandatory. **This year we are adding Monday Dream Team support for our counselors & to create connection before the first full Dream Team time on Tuesday evening**
Teen Staff - teens between 16 and 18 who volunteer the full week to be runners, behind the scene support, set up, tear down, morning meeting leaders, activity station helpers, and extra buddies to our campers. This position requires hardworking youth with good attitudes and big hearts. Training is mandatory.
Support Staff - Variety of roles behind the scenes as well as providing direct support to campers and volunteers. Woodworker, nurses, activity center hosts, royal salon, and paparazzi. Counselors spend most of their time with their 2 assigned campers, staff members have the opportunity to interact with more of the kids and volunteers. Volunteers may be part time or full time. Training is mandatory.
Special Camp Events - extra part time support for our birthday party Wednesday July 23rd and carnival Thursday July 24th
Set Up & Tear Down - many hands make light work & we need lots of hands! Camp set up is Sunday afternoon July 20th and tear down is Thursday evening July 24th.
Training Host - We are always looking for great cooks or restaurants to feed our volunteers during the required training sessions.
Other - bus drivers, card makers, blanket makers etc. There are so many ways to be involved & we would love to connect if you have an idea on a way you would like to serve!
