To respect our volunteers time, please do not fill out this application if any of the following will apply:

You have not spoken to your partner/spouse/roomate about potentially adopting. If not everyone is on board, it is not the time. We will request to speak to each member of the household prior to adoption.
If we have listed non-negiotables for that particular dog in the adoption post that do not align with you - puppy mill dogs often need a fenced yard as they are flight risks and not comfortable with leashes, or whether or not the dog/pet needs another dog/pet. Or if they are ok with kids, cats etc. There is a dog for you - just maybe not that one, and it is not personal, it is about placing the right dog in the right home.
You are not prepared to go through the adoption process of phone interview, follow ups, meet and greets and potentially a home visit.
If you are not ready to welcome a pet into your home in the short term - if you have a vacation coming up etc, please apply once you are back and settled if the animal is still available.
Applicants who ghost our volunteers will not be considered for future adoptions. Please just let us know if you've changed your mind, communication is kind.
If you currently have an intact pet (exceptions apply due to species) we cannot under ethical rescue codes place a dog in your home.
You do not live in Ontario Canada. We do not adopt dogs out of country.
