Calling all kids 5 – 10 years old that are playing spring baseball and softball. With player evaluations in the coming weeks, this camp is the perfect opportunity for your child to get lots of repetitions in three hours to gear up for Spring on the diamond! This camp is an effort by DHYS Devils Coaches both baseball and softball to impact the younger generation of DHYS players.  We can’t think of a better way to kick-off the 2025 season! All camp proceeds benefit the DHYS Capstone Fund.  

In taking responsibility for their Capstone trips, the older Devils players will act as Assistant Coaches to the adult Devils coaches and share with the younger players the best drills and games that helped them develop into All-Star players at Medlock Park. Campers will be divided into small groups by age and sport.  Baseball and softball skill stations will be set up around the park. Each group will be assigned a Squad Leader (Devils Player) to take them to the various stations. Groups will rotate to a different station every 20 - 30 minutes.  Stations will focus on hitting, throwing, fielding, and base running. 9U and 10U players will have additional stations for pitching and catching. 

In a nutshell, it’s the opportunity for dedicated DHYS players to have the trip of a lifetime after participating for many years in the program. This summer, Druid Hills Youth Sports will send baseball teams to Cooperstown, NY and Myrtle Beach, SC, and softball teams to Melbourne, FL to a play a week-long tournament against nation-wide competition at world class facilities in a fully immersive experience.  It is an atmosphere like none-other. Our Devils teams will get the chance to befriend other players from across the country and house with teammates during the event. Fees for these tournaments are offset by a fundraising campaign to allow every player who is selected to attend. The Spring Training Camp is part of that fundraising campaign.
