About: Union County Farm Bureau is dedicated to supporting students who are choosing to remain on the farm after high school. In an effort to do this, we are announcing our $1000 First Harvest award. Funds are available to those who are still in high school or recently graduated. Purpose: The purpose of the First Harvest is to help offset farm operation costs. This can include but is not limited to: fuel costs, land rent, fertilizer costs, equipment costs, etc. The appropriate use of the funds will be left up to the determination of the Union County Board of Trustees.
Eligibility: 1. Must be a Union County Resident.
2. Must be able to provide supporting documentation proving intent to farm should it be requested by the Union County Board of Trustees.
3. Applicants must be a Union County Farm Bureau member. If applicant is not a member, please follow this link to join today, or call the office
Selection: Selection of the final applicant will be made by the Union County Board of Trustees.

Notification of Winners- Our office will notify all applicants of the winner. Winners will be required to give a photograph to the Farm Bureau for our publications and social media.
The award application and information received will be property of the Union County Farm Bureau and will be held in strict confidence.
