Applications are invited from Tasmanian Composers for an Arts Residency in Italy in 2025
With the generous support of an (anonymous) individual donor, Salamanca Arts Centre is able to offer $5,000 towards the La Baldi Foundation's Cultivate Arts Residency Program in Tuscany, Italy.
The donation will support this program for five years; from 2025 until 2029, and for 2025 Tasmanian composers / song-writers are eligible to apply.
The La Baldi Foundation's Cultivate Program manages an arts residency program in the Monte Amiata region of Tuscany, and each year artists from all round the world participate in this multi-arts international professional development program.
Tasmanian Composers (that is, practising composers who have been living in Tasmania since 1st January 2023 and up to the date of the residency taking place in 2025) are invited to submit an Application, as the First Round in the application process. The First Round Applications will close at 10am on Monday 13th January 2025. Applications are to be submitted to Salamanca Arts Centre via the below jotform.
Applicants will need to have an Australian Passport that is valid up to at least six months beyond the end date of their residency in Tuscany, and they may have to apply for a Visa as well.
The successful applicant will be provided with $5,000AUD towards the costs of travel, accommodation and other related expenses. The successful applicant may choose to apply to other sources for additional funds, and letters of support will be provided to the successful applicant for that purpose.
It is expected that the successful applicant will take up the Residency in Tuscany between April and October 2025. The Residency period can be from two to four weeks.
