When would you like to visit the library? We schedule tours at least one month in advance.
School field trips are offered at 10 AM on Fridays. If your organization meets outside of the school day, we will work with you to schedule a visit based on staff availability.

We request a 1:14 chaperone to youth ratio.

We will try to honor any theme requests but cannot make any guarantees.

Scheduling
- To ensure adequate staffing, tours should be scheduled one month in advance.
- Central Library school field trips are available on Fridays at 10 a.m. If your group meets outside of school hours, we will work with you to schedule based on our staffing levels.
- Classes or organizations may visit twice per year.
- Tours and field trips will be scheduled in order received, with priority given to schools and organizations within Huntington Beach.
Late Arrivals & Cancellations
- While we understand that things come up, staff balance their tour availability with library desk coverage and other responsibilities. As a result, any groups that arrive more than 10 minutes after their scheduled time will receive an abbreviated tour.
- If you need to cancel, please do so at least one week in advance. If a field trip or tour is cancelled less than one week before the scheduled date, the visit will count toward the class's or organization's two visits per year.
