  • Wild Paw K9 Solutions Boarding Services Agreement

    This agreement between {fullName3} of {address4} (hereinafter referred to as “Client”) and Alexandra Wheeler acting as an agent for Wild Paw K9 LLC (hereinafter known as “Trainer”) pertains to the following:

    Dog’s name: {dogName}

    (Hereinafter referred to as “Dog”)

    For good and valuable consideration, the parties agree as follows:

    Health/medical: Client agrees that if at any time Trainer deems that Dog needs urgent veterinary care, Dog shall immediately be taken to a local veterinary clinic or emergency clinic. If veterinary care is not deemed urgent, every attempt will be made to notify Client before bringing Dog to veterinarian. Client agrees to pay any associated veterinary bills. Client assumes the risk and agrees that Trainer should not be held responsible for any resulting injuries, losses, damages, costs or expenses. Client agrees that Dog is up to date on all vaccines required by Trainer, with proof given by Client.

    Boarding Fees: Client agrees to pay Trainer a non-refundable fee for agreed upon number of days of boarding in Trainer’s home. Client agrees to pay total amount determined by Trainer at drop off date, unless specified otherwise in payment contract. Client understands that any deposit paid to hold their spot is non-refundable and refunds for cancelled days of boarding are at Trainer’s discretion. Trainer reserves the right to refuse service for any reason and is not required to provide refunds. Partial refunds may be given only at Trainer’s discretion on a circumstantial basis.

    Damages: Client understands that dogs are provided with safe and appropriate accomodations including, but not limted to: sleeping cot or bed, bowls for food and water, and toys or chews as provided by owner. Client agrees that any damages to items owned by trainer, including but not limited to: crates, kennels, kennel parts, beds, bowls, or other equipment is the responsibility of the Client and must be paid upon pickup with notification given by Trainer.

    Services: Trainer agrees to provide customized care for Dog during the boarding stay. This care consists of, and is not limited to: feeding, watering, exercising, providing bathroom let outs, supervised playtime, and mental enrichment. Trainer agrees to update owner with a minimum of one photo daily.

    Trainer will make every reasonable effort to provide sufficient care and safe circumstances for Dog during boarded stay. Client understands that Dogs may partake in unpredictable behaviors, and injuries, illness, or other complications can arise from stress, play, or exercise. The owner agrees not to hold Trainer responsible for any injuries or illnesses that may arise from Dog engaging in aforementioned activities.

    Abandonment: Client understands that per West Virginia law, “abandonment” classifies as any animal placed for training by its owner or an agent of the owner in the care and custody of the Trainer, which is not retrieved by the owner or agent of the owner from the Trainer’s home within 72 hours of the specified pickup date of said animal. Client understands that every effort will be made to contact them regarding the pickup date of Dog, but Dogs remaining in the Trainer’s care after the scheduled pickup date will accrue a care fee of $100 per day at Client’s responsibility. After six (6) days of no contact of any form from the Client, Trainer reserves the right to surrender the animal to the local shelter.

    Liability: Trainer agrees to exercise due and reasonable care of Dog while with Trainer. However, Trainer is not liable for loss or damage from disease, death, running away, theft, fire, injury to persons, other dogs, or property by Dog during or after the term of this agreement. Client agrees to pay all resulting losses and damages suffered or incurred and to defend and indemnify Trainer from any resulting claims, demands, law suits, losses, costs, or expenses including attorney fees. If Dog causes property damage, or bites or injures any dog, animal or person (including but not limited to Trainer and Trainer's agents), during or after the term of this Agreement, then Client agrees to pay all resulting losses and damages suffered or incurred, and to defend and indemnify Trainer and Trainer's agents from any resulting claims, demands, lawsuits, losses, costs or expenses, including attorney fees.

    This agreement supersedes all prior discussions, representations, warranties and agreements of the parties, and expresses the entire agreement between client and Trainer regarding the matters described above. The parties confirm that, except for that which is specifically in this agreement, no promises, representations, or oral understandings guaranteed or warranted Dog will never bite, that Dog will not be dangerous, or vicious in the future, that Dog will not exhibit other behavioral problems, or that the results of the training will last for any particular amount of time.

    Client agrees to only provide items for board that have been deemed safe for Dog to have unattended by Client. (i.e. do not send any new treats/chews/toys/bedding that Dog has not had before without issue.)  Client acknowledges that dog is crate trained, meaning the dog can sleep comfortably and quietly in a crate overnight and be left home alone in the crate without excessive barking. If dog is causing a disruption due to inability to safely be in the crate, then they will be sent home and client will be partially refunded based on how much time dog spent with trainer.
