The RESTORE Training is designed for human services professionals and will:
- Provide a clear understanding of the drivers of radicalization and why extremist narratives appeal to people.
- Offer an overview of prevalent extremist groups in the region and current online threats.
- Help identify early warning signs and risk factors, and respond: because early intervention is key to successfully prevent people from radicalizing to violence.
- Offer methods and approaches for responding to potential radicalization to violence in professional and community settings.
- Support reflection on professional roles, attitudes, and practices.
- Provide tools to strengthen protective factors that help individuals vulnerable to violent ideologies build resilience to extremist influence.
The training will be in-person across two separate cohorts; one in February 2026 and another at the end of March 2026. Both cohorts will train for 3.5 days (approximately 30 hours) in Pittsburgh, PA. The training cost is $150 per trainee. If cost is prohibitive to participation, please contact us for scholarship opportunities.
