RULES:
1. Resident of the MSAD #17 school district. 2. Completed application and essay submitted to the scholarship committee by January 10th, 2025. 3. Must agree to attend the week-long session by signing the bottom of the application. 4. Child must be at least 7 years of age and no older than 15 years old during summer 2025. 5. Child and parent/guardian agree to abide by all of the rules and requirements set forth by the University of Maine 4-H camp at Bryant Pond. 6. Child and parent or guardian agrees to allow use of the child’s name and/or picture in various forms of media surrounding the scholarship. 7. Parent/ guardian must provide $35 deposit. This ensures that the family and scholarship awardee show a commitment to attend camping experience. 8. Child cannot have won the scholarship in prior years Selection process is as follows: Fully completed/ signed application and essay is must be received before or by the end of 1/10/2025. Essay will be judged blindly (no name attached) by a judge who is not on the board of the scholarship. Family will be notified by a member of the scholarship board. The winners will then be given instructions on how to register for camping experience. Applicants are encouraged to review the 4H camp website to pick out which experience they wish to have ASAP as spots fill up very quickly.
