Competitive applicants should be:
- Entering 8th-12th grades
- Comfortable working with children under the age of 5
- Comfortable interacting with individuals with disabilities
- Responsible and reliable
Program dates:
June 9 - July 24
Service location:
Hand In Hand Children's Early Learning Program on the United Ability campus at 120 Oslo Circle (off of Lakeshore Parkway, between Red Mountain Park and Ross Bridge)
Schedule: 8 am-Noon or 2 pm-5 pm, Monday through Friday
- Volunteers are expected to serve a minimum of 20 hours during the entire 7-week period.
- All scheduling will be done online using Bloomerang Volunteer, which can be accessed by computer or cell phone app. Volunteers are assigned ONE account, and volunteers and parents are responsible for deciding how to manage scheduled sign-ups and notifications.
New GIGs MUST submit:

- An essay uploaded within this form at submission
- 2 recommendation forms submitted through the provided link by non-family adults no later than May 2
Returning GIGs MUST submit:
- Only this application form
