Clonidine (0.2 mg or higher nightly): Stopping higher doses of clonidine suddenly may cause rebound high blood pressure in some patients. If you are taking 0.2mg or higher nightly, taper the dose down to 0.1mg nightly for a few days before stopping.
Mirtazapine (Remeron): If you have been taking at doses 15mg or higher for more than 1 week, consider lowering to 7.5mg mg nightly for 4 days and then stopping. Suddenly stopping higher doses that you have been on for more than a week may cause serotonin withdrawal and loss of mood/anxiety benefits. A gradual dose reduction is recommended.
