RMPLC training grounds lease runs from 4-1-25 – 8-31-25 (subject to revision).

Hours: sunrise to sunset.

All full-access members must go through an orientation prior to independent usage of the property.

Mirror hanger is your proof of membership and property pass, it must be displayed when on the property. If you see a vehicle without a displayed pass, please ask the vehicle their reasoning. As a club we must police the property. Land owner will also be looking for mirror hangers.

Respect the land and the landowner: pick up after yourself and your dog (including, but not limited to trash, dead birds, flagging tape, spent shotgun shells, etc.).

Keep vehicles on roads designated for use by RMPLC. If you are unsure whether a road or portion of the grounds may be used, do not use until you have clarified usage. Do not drive on planted grounds or growing crops (please refer to the maps provided in membership packet).

DO NOT drive on extremely muddy roads, from irrigation or weather. During these times, limit training to easily accessible area(s) of the property. Never leave the road to drive around water covered roads.

Leave all gates as you found them. Either opened or closed.

Avoid and do not disturb livestock on the property.

Shotgun and training pistols are allowed during training. It is a MUST that proper firearm safety is always exercised. Live shot birds may be used. Do not shoot within 200 yds of buildings/roads.

When training and shooting live birds on the grounds, a current Colorado small game license is required by the Colorado Division of Wildlife. You must also have a receipt from the bird purchase for the birds in possession.

No target practice or hunting on the grounds.

Due to fire potential, no smoking. Please use caution when using 209 primers.

Members can bring a guest, one time. After that the guest must join as a member of RMPLC. Members must always be with their guest and are responsible and liable for their guest.

Be considerate of other members training on the grounds. It is your responsibility to approach other members, to make sure your training plans will not interfere with theirs. Ask to join their training session, work together. Dogs that are not running should be crated or leashed up to avoid conflicts.

As per the RMPLC rules, a member may run up to three dogs. If a member or pro-member, is training more than three of their own dogs, the owner(s) of the additional dogs must be current member(s) of the RMPLC.

No alcohol prior to or during training.

Report all misuse of the grounds and/or violations with appropriate details to a board member (name, license plate, description, etc.).

RMPLC’s ability to use this land is based on our actions, be responsible. Misuse of the grounds, disrespect of the land owners and land, and/or other members and the values of the RMPLC will result in the termination of your membership.

RMPLC has priority to the grounds on club training days.

All members must comply with laws and regulations for the State of Colorado and the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
