Team Cowboy - You will be added to Team Cowboy using your email address. Team Cowboy is used for RSVPs and other club communications. This is a closed group for club members only.

WhatsApp - This club uses a WhatsApp Community to stay in touch with club members, get club updates, and stay connected with each other. This is a closed group for club members only. Your phone number will be visible to other club members in WhatsApp. 

As an SFDBC member, you can join or remove yourself from our WhatApp Community at any time. Information will be sent to you via email after you pay your membership dues.

Privacy - Your contact information will NOT be shared outside the club.

* NOTE: Affiliate membership level is for members of a KWAC club and/or another area dragon boat club. Affiliate members are not eligible to vote nor can they participate as an elected offical of the organziation, but otherwise enjoy all other privileges and benefits.

By signing below I am acknowledging that I:

• have read and agree to follow the SFDBC Code of Conduct (located on the next page)
  
• understand that photos taken during races, practices, and events may be used for non-commercial promotional purposes

Medical Emergency Information

You are required to provide medical emergency contact information. Information you provide will be kept in strict confidence and used only by the coaches, steersperson, and/or designated safety lead in the event of a medical emergency.

SFDBC Code of Conduct

Required for all paid, full-time members

As a SFDBC Paddler, I agree to abide by the following statements:

• I will encourage and practice good sportsmanship behaviors from fellow paddlers and peers.

• I will annually sign and register online the SFDBC Liability Release and Waiver Agreement form prior to stepping into a SFDBC boat.

• I will pay my SFDBC member dues in a timely manner at the rate established by SFDBC.

• I will wear an appropriately fitted, Coast Guard Type III personal flotation device (PFD) at all times while on the dock and in the boat and will follow general safety guidelines as set forth in SFDBC Safety Guidelines.

• I will treat my coaches, other paddlers, officials and the public with respect regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin, creed, ethnicity, age, physical or mental disability, political affiliation, sexual orientation, ancestry, medical conditions (e.g. cancer or cancer related illness; HIV/AIDS or related conditions), genetic characteristics (e.g. non-symptomatic carriers of inheritable diseases), gender identity, marital or domestic partner status, parental status, veteran status, height, weight or any other basis protected by law. And I will expect to be treated in the same manner.

• I will respect SFDBC equipment in accordance with the individual practice sites which may include properly mooring the boats, hanging up the PFDs, storing and handling paddles, keeping the storage unit and surrounding environment clean and tidy, and cooperating in participation of activities to support SFDBC.

• I will abide by any signs posted by SFDBC regarding safety and instructions at the practice sites and events.

• I will respect the privacy of my peers by not participating in the inappropriate use of camera, imaging and digital devices.

• I will paddle in an environment that is free from illegal drugs, tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana and expect paddlers and myself to refrain from their use at all SFDBC endorsed events that prohibit their use.

• I will report to the team captain/coach and/or their designee including directors or officers of the Board if I see and/or hear of inappropriate or harmful interactions between members.

I understand that violation of this Code of Conduct may result in cancellation of this agreement and I may be subject to suspension to termination of my SFDBC membership and participation in any SFDBC club crews.
