  • When Healing Looks Different:

A Therapist’s Guide to Chronic Illness
  • October 29th, 2025

    2:00pm - 3:30pm

    200 W. Front St.
    Room 324
    (Third Floor)

    Bloomington, IL 61701

    Description:

This training challenges therapists to fundamentally rethink traditional therapeutic models when working with clients whose conditions persist over time. This comprehensive training covers essential adaptations in assessment, intervention, and the therapeutic relationship while addressing medical trauma, grief that doesn't follow stages, and the unique psychological landscape of invisible illness. Learn how to work effectively with clients when progress isn't linear, energy is limited, and healing means building a meaningful life within limitations rather than returning to a previous state.
