    Kids Don't Float is a fun, exciting and VALUABLE educational day for kids throughout our region. This program truly has saved lives! Please select the dates/times/stations that work best for you. We will provide training, talking points, and supplies so don't worry if you haven't done a particular station before.

                • Station Descriptions:

                  Rescue Station: teaches the method of "Reach, Throw, Go (for help)" by throwing life rings and other floatation devices.
                • Hypothermia Education Station: educating about the dangers of cold water/thin ice. Activity: ice water penny grab.
                • Life Jacket Relay Station: kids learn about correct life jacket fit and identify when to replace a life jacket. They will get to select and try on a jacket and (time permitting), participate in a relay race against their peers.
                • Boats: assist students to get into the small boats in the swimming pool and/or operate/assist kids to operate the boats (we are in our 31st year of KDF and have not had anyone fall into the pool--we want to keep that streak going!)
                • Life Jacket Fitting: Assisting students to get into an appropriate size life jacket in preparation to drive the boats, and issue reminders to walk and stay away from the pool's edge until assisted into the boats.
