Candidates for Fellowship are required to have been in the active practice of reporting/captioning and be a continuous Registered Member for at least 15 years.

Important

In order for the nomination to be valid, the Fellow candidate’s past performance must be found to include at least THREE of the performance criteria, THREE recommendation letters, and a resume.

You MUST submit ALL pertinent documents with your completed form. Incomplete nominations will NOT be considered.
Nomination criteria
- Nominations must be submitted by a Registered Member of NCRA or be accompanied by at least one letter of support from a Registered Member of NCRA.
- Members may not self-nominate for Fellowship in the Academy of Professional Reporters.
Performance criteria
Check three or more boxes below to submit the nominee's performance criteria. Please be as explicit as possible when describing articles and activities.
Once selected, you will be presented with a section below to add comments for each selection chosen.*

1. Publication of important papers, articles, books, or other written material dealing with verbatim stenographic reporting and/or stenographic captioning, professional, or related subjects.2. Creative contributions to the welfare of the profession of verbatim stenographic reporting and/or stenographic captioning,3. Significant and distinguished service to the profession as an active participant on a minimum of three NCRA committees within the last 15 years.4. Contributions in such areas as teaching, editing of publications, other board or committee service, or education of the general public that have served to enhance or promote the verbatim stenographic reporting and/or stenographic captioning professions.5. Attainment of the Association’s Registered Merit Reporter, Registered Diplomate Reporter, or Speed or Realtime Contest Certificate.
