  • Registration Change Options & Fees

    If you’re registered for the 2026 Austin International Half and did not purchase "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) insurance, but are unable to participate or need to change your distance, please review the options and fees provided below before completing the form to submit your request. Please note: CFAR insurance cannot be purchased after registration, and deferrals are not available.

  • A transfer can only be requested up to the deadlines posted below. Requests cannot be processed for an event that has already taken place.

     

    TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PARTICIPANT
    Participants may transfer their registration to another participant of their choosing.

    • Fee: $40.00
    • Deadline: Available through January 11.

    How it works:
    Once the request is approved, the original registrant (bib owner) will receive an email containing a personalized registration link, which includes the transfer fee. They must forward this link to the new participant. The new participant will complete the registration form and pay the transfer fee.

    Importsnt Notes:

    • The original registrant is responsible for finding their replacement.
    • All transfers must be processed through EventDog.com. Unauthorized bib exchanges will result in disqualification, removal from race results, and potential bans from future events.
    • Transaction fees are non-refundable.
    • Event shirt sizes are not guaranteed for transferred registrations.
       

    TRANSFER TO THE RELAY
    Share the distance with a friend! Transfer your registration to a 2-person relay team (each participant completes half of the course).

    • Fee: $40.00 + any registration price difference at the time.

    Important Notes

    • The original registrant is responsible for finding their relay partner.
    • As with all transfers, this must be an approved transfer through EventDog.com.
    • Unauthorized bib exchanges are not permitted and will result in disqualification, removal from race results, and potential bans from future events.
    • Transaction fees are non-refundable.

    TRANSFER TO THE ASCENSION SETON AUSTIN MARATHON, HALF MARATHON OR 5K
    Transfer your registration to the 2026 Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, or 5K, taking place on February 15, 2026.

    • Fee: $30.00 + any registration price difference at the time.

    Example:

    if the Austin International Half Registration is $89.00 and the Austin Half Marathon registration is $99.00 then the total fee for the transfer is $40.00.


    TRANSFER TO THE VIRTUAL EVENT
    Can’t make it in person? Transfer to the Virtual Event and still receive all the great race swag! Learn more.

    • Fee: No fee
    • Deadline:  Available through January 11.
    • Note: Items cannot be shipped to non-U.S. addresses.


    TRANSFER FROM THE VIRTUAL EVENT TO IN-PERSON
    Change your mind? Switch from the Virtual Event to an in-person event (before race day).

    • Fee: $55.00

    All registration transfers must be approved and processed through High Five Events and the Austin International Half. Anyone caught attempting to sell or transfer their race entry/bib to another person through a non-approved process will have said race entry/bib revoked, be disqualified, be removed from the race without a refund, and will be prohibited from participating in any future events owned or produced by High Five Events. Any Persons trying to participate in the event using another participant’s race entry/bib as part of a non-approved transfer will be disqualified, be removed from the race without a refund, and will be prohibited from participating in any future events owned or produced by High Five Events.
