  • All contestants must complete the two-part application process to participate.

    1. Online application link must be filled out and submitted by the deadline. You will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your application when it is received. We recommend that you keep a copy for your records. Once application is submitted, we are unable to make changes. Please remember the Emcee will read your onstage information straight from the application submitted so writing in the third person is recommended on those sections of the application. 

    2. Payment must be received by the deadline. Please note that applications are not considered complete without the inclusion of a digital headshot of the contestant to be used in the pageant program.

    Both STUDENTS and PARENTS should read application in full and be familiar with information submitted.

  • REGISTRATION FEES:

  • Payment MUST be included with a printed copy of your emailed confirmation stating that your online application was received and then turn it into the PTA drop box in the main office in a sealed envelope no later than 3pm on Friday January 24, 2025. Please include your: Name, Phone #, Grade & Date on the outside of your envelope c/o PTA/Miss NAHS. Make checks payable to NAHS PTA. Return check fee is $45.

    Electronic payments can be made via Venmo to: @NorthAugustaHigh-PTA. Make sure to include your full name and grade. After making a online payment, please email the PTA at nahspta@gmail.com for confirmation that payment has been received. 

    Entry Fee $125.00 – Includes a Pageant T-shirt. Provide your shirt size (Adult Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large). 

    Register By SUNDAY, JANUARY 5th and recieve a $25 DISCOUNT.

  • We ask that each contestant contribute 1 TWELVE PACK of drinks to be sold in our concession area. The following will be due on the FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE! Please write your name on the outside of the product so we will know you contributed! Please keep products brand specific! Seniors – Waters, Juniors – Diet Coke, Sophomores – Sprite, Freshman - Coke

  • MISS PHOTOGENIC CONTEST (optional)

  • This is an optional contest. There is an additional cost of $10 to enter. The ONLY photo size accepted is 8 x 10. Picture and $10 payment MUST be turned in together on the first day of practice. Please do not submit early. We will NOT accept digital photos for the photogenic contest. Do not place photos in glass frames or special folders. Only contestants who submit a photo and pay the fee will be entered in the Photogenic Contest. Photographs must be marked with name, grade, and telephone number on reverse side. Professional photographs are strongly recommended, please no selfies and/or snapshots. Photos will be on display in the lobby the night of the event. At the end of the pageant, please remember to take your photo home, the NAHS PTA will not be responsible for returning photos after the event. Photos will be judged prior to the pageant by a professional photograph judge. One winner per grade will be announced.

  • HIGHEST GPA AWARD

  • This award will be submitted to the Judges by the school. Contestants will be judged on their GPAs for the first quarter. The Senior with the highest GPA and one Underclassmen with the highest GPA will be recognized and awarded a cash prize.

  • PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD

  • The People’s Choice Award will be awarded to the girl with the most votes on pageant night. FAMILY, FRIENDS, and FANS can vote for their favorite contestant as many times as they wish! A table will be set up in the lobby and votes are $1 each. The contestant with the highest number of votes will be awarded a sash and a gift.

  • MISS SWEETHEART AWARD

  • Miss Sweetheart is a title that will be awarded to the contestant who raises the most donation and sponsorship money for the PTA. All donations are tax deductible for the sponsor. The winner will receive jewelry from Windsor Jewelers, Flowers, Sash, and Crown! DOUBLECROWNING WILL BE ALLOWED!!! You may collect donations or sponsorships through Family, Friends, and Local Businesses. An example sponsorship letter and tally sheet are included at the bottom of this application and a PDF version for downloading can be found onthe Miss NAHS webpage. Please provide the sponsorship letter with Tax ID to each donor (or as requested). Every contestant who competes for the crown of Miss Sweetheart, will receive a $50 cash prize for every $1,000 (one thousand dollars) raised. All contestants who raise funds will be acknowledged onstage for their participation. The DEADLINE for all SWEETHEART money is Thursday, February 8th by the end of practice! Make sure to include your money and tally form in an envelope with your name on it. Please be sure all sponsor names are printed and legible!

  • MR YELLOW JACKET AWARD

  • Miss NAHS Senior Contestants may be escorted during their evening gown competition. Escorts can be in any grade but must be a NAHS student. One lucky escort will have the opportunity to be crowned Mr. Yellow Jacket and receive a cash prize. Senior contestants must confirm their escort by Monday, February 5th at the beginning of the first practice by submitting the escort’s full name and grade. Escorts must be available to attend the latter part of practice on Thursday and all of practice Friday, February 9 at 6pm and have a dark suit and dress shoes (no sneakers) for the Pageant Show. The title of Mr. Yellow Jacket will be awarded to the escort who raises the most money (much like People’s Choice). Escorts and their Senior contestants are allowed to begin collecting votes once escorts have been confirmed on the first day of practice. Votes are $1 each. Any early voting monies must be turned in prior to the pageant starting at 6:00pm on Saturday February 10th. A table will be set up in the lobby for additional voting the night of the pageant. Again, the Escort with the highest number of votes WINS!

  • MISS NORTH AUGUSTA HIGH SCHOOL, MISS SENIOR, MISS JUNIOR, MISS SOPHMORE & MISS FRESHMAN AWARDS

  • Contestants will be judged in the following categories: Interview, Casual/Sportswear and Evening Gown. Interview will count for 40%, Casual/Sportswear for 30% and Evening Gown for 30% of their score.

    Contestants are scored on a ten (10) point scale, with one (1) being the lowest and ten (10) being the highest. There will be NO ON STAGE QUESTION in any division. Ties will be broken by reverting to the interview score. If there is still a tie at the interview score, the Evening Gown score will be used to break the tie. If there is still a tie at the evening gown score, the tie will be broken using the Casual Wear score. If there is still a tie at the Casual Wear score, the judges will be asked to break the tie using their sole discretion.

    All winners must pick up their prizes at the awards table at the end of the event.

  • CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS

  • 1. Interview outfit and opening number outfit will be this year’s pageant t-shirt, dark pants/jeans and dark heals. Please do not decorate, paint or stone t-shirts.

    2. Casual/Sportswear should reflect your personality and your age group. Sportswear may be pants, dress, skirt or whateveryou feel most comfortable modeling.

    No semiformal wear should be worn as casual/sportswear. No denim shorts.

    3. Evening Gown should be a floor length evening gown.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: There should not be any bare skin showing between a contestant’s bra and waistband of pants or skirts. Nobellybuttons are to show at any time. Completely backless shirts, tops or evening gowns are prohibited. Straps, mesh and fleshcolored material are all ok.

    Contestants not following dress code may result in disqualification at the Judge’s discretion.

  • PRACTICES, INTERVIEW AREA and DRESSING ROOMS

    • A two-point deduction will be given to any contestant for missing a mandatory date listed.
    • All practices are closed to the public, friends and family and are for contestants only – no exceptions. These are closed rehearsals.
    • Please bring shoes/heals with you to each practice.
    • No one will be allowed into the building, including dressing rooms, on the day of the pageant except for contestants and approved staff. Any contestant with unauthorized persons in these areas will be disqualified - NO EXCEPTIONS.
    • Each contestant must be able to carry all her pageant apparel (clothes, shoes, jewelry, makeup, mirrors, etc) in by herself.
    • Cell phone usage should be minimized during practice and are not allowed during the interview process. No video or photos should be taken of contestants without their permission. Please plan accordingly. If the directors feel cell phones are creating any issues, they will ask for them to be put away.
    • During the pageant show, volunteers are available to aid backstage for changing, touchups and assistance only. Assigned volunteers will only be able to help with minimal touchups and outfit changings.

    After the pageant - winners and runner ups will be gathered for pictures on the stage. NO ONE IS ALLOWED ONSTAGE OR TO LEAVE UNTIL ALL PICTURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN! Once contestants exit the stage, they will be asked to completely pack up all items and clean their area of the dressing room. CONTESTANTS MUST CHECK OUT and PICK UP THEIR TAKE HOME PACKET upon exiting. Contestants collecting cash prizes and gifts must see the judges table at the end of the show. 

     

  • CHRISTMAS PARADE

  • Winners must be available for the 2025 North Augusta Christmas Parade. You will be responsible for securing your own vehicle and driver for this event. The NAHS PTA will reach out to help organize this event.

  • MISS NAHS PAGEANT CONTESTENT CODE OF CONDUCT

    • If chosen as Miss NAHS, Miss Senior, Miss Junior, Miss Sophomore, Miss Freshman, or Miss Sweetheart, I will proudly represent my title and attend all required meetings and events and always conduct myself with dignity, grace, and good manners.
    • If chosen as Miss NAHS, Miss Senior, Miss Junior, Miss Sophomore, Miss Freshman, or Miss Sweetheart, I will participate a minimum of ten hours of community service as a title holder. I will submit photos to the PTA of myself serving to be used on social media.
    • I agree to embrace and proudly promote the title and will do so until the end of my reign (when my replacement is crowned). This also includes appropriate behavior for future assistance or representation should I return to assist the NAHS PTA as a past queen.
    • I understand and agree that my Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Tiktok, BeReal, personal website or any other public forum/social media will be closely monitored. I agree to hold my social media platforms in good taste. I will be respectful of myself and others during the pageant in addition to any winning responsibilities thereafter. I understand that all material on these pages must be in good taste and show me as role model.
    • I agree to take conduct seriously as I move forward in this event to represent this school with utmost respect on and off the campus.
    • I will be on time. I will stay for complete practices and be at all events I am responsible for in full. I will not miss practice and will act 100% on my commitment.
    • I agree to enter this competition in good faith with fair and just competitive intentions. I will be respectful to all fellow contestants.
    • I understand poor sportsmanship of any kind will result in disqualification.
    • I understand that the NAHS PTA reserves the right to align with the Aiken County Code of Conduct if necessary.
    • I understand The NAHS PTA reserves the right to disqualify anyone not following this Code of Conduct.

    If you violate this Code of Conduct, you will be contacted by the Pageant Director and or the PTA via letter at the address provided on this application.

  • BY SIGNING BELOW, I ACKNOWLEDGE I HAVE READ ALL INFORMATION on this application and agree to all mandatory dates listed. I am interested in participation in the Miss NAHS Pageant and will not hold the NAHS PTA or its Volunteers responsible for any damage, loss, or injury of any kind that could occur during this pageant. The PTA has my parent’s permission to post my picture on the NA PTA Website, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram page (with or without any names) and local media outlets.     • Monday, February 3rd – Tickets may be purchased from Maxwell Preforming Arts Center online under Miss North Augusta High School Pageant. No refunds are available.
    • Monday, February 10th from 4pm – 6:00pm at NAHS. Mandatory Practice in school auditorium (closed to the public) Miss Photogenic Contestants must turn in labeled photo at practice with payment. Photos missing name, grade and $10 entry fee will not be accepted. Senior Contestants – Mr. Yellow Jacket Escort name is due. Miss Sweetheart Money may be turned in to the PTA Treasurer at the end of practice. *Concession drinks due: Seniors – waters, Juniors - Diet Coke, Sophomores -Sprite, Freshman - Coke.
    • Tuesday, February 11th from 4pm – 6:00pm at NAHS. Mandatory Practice in school auditorium (closed to the public) Miss Sweetheart Money may be turned in to the PTA Treasurer at the end of practice.
    • Wednesday, February 12th from 4pm – 6:00pm at NAHS. Non-Mandatory Practice unless needed as a makeup day. This is your opportunity to work on individual bases with the directors.
    • Thursday, February 13th from 4pm – 6:00pm at NAHS. Mandatory Practice in school auditorium (closed to the public). Mr. Yellow Jacket/Escorts will need to arrive at 5:30pm to review with senior girls to be ready for Tech Rehearsal on Friday. This is the last day to turn in Miss Sweetheart Money to the PTA Treasurer at the end of practice.
    • Friday, February 14th from 6pm – Until at the Maxwell Theater (AU Campus). Mandatory Practice (closed to the public) 6pm – We will hold a walk through on the stage. This includes Mr. Yellow Jacket contestants who will be escorting Seniors. 7pm - The Tech Rehearsal will begin for everyone involved in the show. 
    • Saturday, February 15th- Interview and contestant call times will be emailed to all registered participants by Wednesday, February 5th. 
  • ADDITIONAL PAGEANT INFO:

  • Mr. Yellow Jacket Escorts must be backstage and checked in no later than 5:00pm for the Pageant Show. Parents, friends, and family are not allowed to enter until doors open at 5:30pm. Pageant Doors open at 5:30pm. Pageant begins at 6:00pm.
