Terms of Agreement

RAINBOW’S BRIDGE ANIMAL RESCUE (RBAR):

Agrees to allow the Adopter to adopt and the Adopter agrees to adopt the Adoptee named above from the adoping agency known as Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue.
Has, at all times, the right to request the return of the Adoptee if the Adopter breaches any of the terms as set in the contract, the “Adoption Agreement”.

THE ADOPTER:

Agrees to provide a suitable home, nutrional food and fresh water, full preventative medical care, shelter, love, compassion, and kind treatment for the Adoptee at all times.
Agrees that the Adoptee will be treated humanely and will not be used for any inhumane, experimental or illegal purpose.
The Adopter will not subject the Adoptee to de-clawing.
The Adopter will not allow the Adoptee outdoors without an appropriate harness, enclosure and or unattended.
Agrees that Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) has the right to visit any premises where the Adoptee is located to ensure living conditions are appropriate.
Acknowledges that it is a Criminal Offense to abandon an animal and as such, if the Adopter, for any reason can no longer care for the Adoptee, he/she is obligated, per this Adoption Agreement to contact Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) upon which Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) has the right to take back the Adoptee and/or to approve of a new adoptive home.
Shall not give away, sell or turn over the adopted animal (Adoptee) to any Municipal Shelter.
Agrees that Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) cannot guarantee the health, temperamentand/or training of any Adoptee due to limited background information on all animals rescued and that these rescue animals are not purchased, but adopted in good faith.
However, if, within SEVEN (7) Calendar days of the adoption, should the Adoptee be seen by a certified Veterinarian who finds a medical problem, the Adopter, has the option to return the Adoptee to Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) for a refund of the Adoption fee (only).
Agrees that if the Adoptee is returned to Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) for any other reason or outside of the Calendar days as stated, the Adoptee will be accepted back in the care of Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) with no refund of the Adoption fee.
Waives the right of any actions which the Adopter, executors or assigns have or may have in the future against Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) for any reason related to the adoption of the Adoptee, including, but not restricted to the repossession of the Adoptee in accordance with this Adoption Agreement.
Acknowledges that Juvenile Adopted Cats are too young to be spayed or neutered. Therefore, it is the Adopter’s responsibility to contact Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) when the adopted cat is between the age of FIVE (5) or SIX (6) months to arrange for an appointment for said procedure and that the cost for this procedure is included in the Adoption fee.
Acknowledges that there are no rebates/refunds granted should the Adopter decide to spay/neuter any animal through an independent Veterinarian not affiliated with Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR).
The Adopter acknowledges that all future vet bills, vaccinations and or veterinary care are the responsibility of the adopter/owner and at the expense of the adopter/owner.

By signing below, I certify that all the information provided on this application is true and I understand that false information will result in losing adoption privileges. I understand that the adoption process may be delayed by the verification of this information. I acknowledge that Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) works to pair both owner and pet, therefore applications are carefully verified and Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR) will choose the adopter they deem most compatible. For this reason this application may be denied at their discretion.
