Rental Fees may be made by cash, money order, credit/debit cards or via PayPal and made payable to Cecil Cox Post 147. Rental payments can be mailed to “Cecil Cox Post 147” at 508 Fourth Street, Clovis CA 93612 (please do not mail cash) or by card over the phone or by the payment link at the bottom of this agreement.*

Liability Insurance: Upon request, Applicants must Provide Cecil Cox Post 147 with a certificate of “AdditionalInsurance” naming Cecil Cox Post 147 at an additional insured. Applicants agree to assume full responsibility for repair or replacement of any damaged equipment or facilities as a result of Legion Facilities. It is agreed that any cleaning deposit submitted may be forfeited and held by Cecil Cox Post 147 as a deposit toward any repair or replacement of damages caused by the use of the facilities. Alcohol: If alcohol is to be served at your event security guard(s) will be required. One security guard per 100 guests is required with a 4-hour minimum. Security Guards can be contracted by Cecil Cox Post 147 and paid for by the applicant.

Cleaning: Applicants will be provided a list of items to be cleaned and inspected after use of the facility.Complete cleanup the day of the rental is required. Cecil Cox Post 147 will not be responsible for anything left overnight. If additional cleaning is needed the rate of $25 per hour will apply and will be deducted from the cleaning deposit. Once the facilities have been inspected the balance of the cleaning deposit will be refunded.   Initial*

Decorations: Decorations may be put up inside the facility, however, no tacks, nails, glue guns, tape or adhesives, other than, “Command Strips” may be used. All decorations must be removed at the conclusion of the event. Failure to comply will result is in forfeiture of some or all of the cleaning deposit.    Initial*

Smoking: Smoking is not permitted on anywhere on the premises.    Initial*

Air Conditioning and Heating: When using the Air Conditioning or Heating keep all doors and windows closed a much a possible.    Initial*

Cooking on Site: No BBQs, Grills, food trucks or Cooking on site is permitted on site without prior approval. Initial*

Cancellations: In the event of a cancellation, Cecil Cox Post 147 must be notified 14 days prior to the scheduled date of the event to receive a full refund, less any fees, of all deposits. Deposits will be forfeited if the reservation is not cancelled with the prescribed time. Cecil Cox Post 147 reserves the right to revoke any permit and cancel any event or meeting at any time for any reason. If that occurs, any rental fees and/or deposits will be refunded.    Initial*

Use of Facilities: In reserving rooms or patio (identified as “facilities”) the applicant or organization, accepts full responsibility for the proper use of the facilities located at 508 Fourth Street in Clovis, CA, herein referred to as facilities, for the conduct and behavior of those in attendance. It is understood that any attended by minors that the minors will be properly chaperoned at all times. The maximum capacity is the facility is not to exceed 110 asset by the Clovis Fire Marshall regulations. Maximum guest usage of the facility will not exceed 8 hours.    Initial*

Miscellaneous: No open flames are permitted inside the facility rooms. No rice, bird seed, glitter, confetti, hay or straw may be used inside, or outside, of the building. (This is due to liability insurance issues) If they are used the cleaning deposit will be automatically forfeited.    Initial*

In consideration for the right to use the American Legion Cecil Cox Post 147 facilities, the applicant hereby agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Cecil Cox Post 147, its officers, agents, and employees, for any injury to persons or property arising out of, or in any way, connected with the applicants use of said facilities. The applicant agrees to furnish proof of insurance as required by Cecil Cox Post 147 for the protection of the public and Cecil Cox Post 147. The applicant further agrees to leave the facilities neat and clean at the conclusion of the applicant’s use of said facilities.
