    Emeritus Membership
    Emeritus Membership is available to Ordinary Members who have:

    • Retired from active clinical or research work.
    • Been an ISOO Ordinary Member for a significant period.
    • Attended at least four Regular ISOO Meetings.

    This membership honors long-standing contributions to ISOO while maintaining involvement in the Society.

    Honorary Membership
    Honorary Membership is granted by nomination of the Executive Council to individuals who have:

    • Made significant contributions to ocular oncology or medicine.
    • Demonstrated a lasting impact in the field.

    Honorary Members may participate in ISOO discussions and meetings but do not pay dues.

    • Research and Publications: Authorship or co-authorship of research papers, case studies, reviews, or editorials published in peer-reviewed journals related to ophthalmic oncology. This can also include presentations at scientific conferences or meetings.
    • Clinical Practice: Care for patients with ocular cancers or related conditions. Documentation could come from a healthcare institution affirming the individual's role in such a capacity.
    • Education and Training: Participation in educational programs, workshops, or courses focused on ophthalmic oncology, whether as a student, instructor, or developer of educational materials.
    • Professional Engagement: Membership in other relevant professional organizations, participation in ophthalmic oncology-related committees, or community outreach programs for eye cancer awareness and prevention.
    • Innovation and Development: Involvement in developing new technologies, treatments, or methodologies related to the diagnosis, treatment, or research of ocular cancers.
    • Collaborative Projects: Participation in multi-institutional research projects, clinical trials, or global health initiatives focused on ophthalmic oncology.
    • Advocacy and Leadership: Active involvement in advocacy groups, policy-making, or leadership roles in initiatives to improve outcomes for patients with ocular cancers.

  • You Could Qualify for ISOO Member in Training

    About Members-in-Training:
    This membership is for medical doctors, scientists, or allied health professionals currently in training. You’ll gain access to valuable ISOO resources, conferences, and opportunities to transition into a permanent membership category after your training is complete.

    Membership Term:

    Membership is valid for up to two years after completing your training.
    One year after completing training, you will be invited to apply for a more permanent membership category (e.g., Ordinary, Collaborating, or Allied Membership).


    Requirements to Apply:

    • Proof of Training: Upload a document verifying your current training status (e.g., enrollment confirmation or training certificate).
    • Letter of Recommendation: Provide a letter from an ISOO Ordinary Member supporting your application and detailing your involvement in ocular oncology.

  • You Could Qualify for ISOO Collaborating Membership

    About Collaborating Members:
    This membership is for healthcare professionals, scientists, or allied health professionals who are involved in ocular oncology research or care but are not in primary medical or surgical roles. Collaborating Members benefit from access to ISOO resources, networking opportunities, and conferences to support their professional development in the field of ocular oncology.

    Membership Term:
    Collaborating Membership continues as long as you remain active in your role and meet the membership requirements, including payment of annual dues.

    Requirements to Apply:

    • Documentation of Qualifications: Upload a statement or documentation that demonstrates your involvement in ocular oncology (e.g., research projects, clinical contributions, or relevant professional activities).
    • Letter of Recommendation: If documentation is not available, provide a letter from an ISOO Ordinary Member detailing your involvement in ocular oncology.

  • You Could Qualify for ISOO Allied Membership

    About Allied Members:
    This membership is for industry professionals, NGO employees, or patient-directed support organization representatives whose work supports ocular oncology in some capacity. Allied Members enjoy access to ISOO’s community, resources, and conferences, helping them stay informed and connected to developments in the field.

    Membership Term:
    Allied Membership continues as long as you remain active in your role and meet the membership requirements, including payment of annual dues.

    Requirements to Apply:

    • Statement of Qualifications: Provide a statement describing how your role supports ocular oncology (e.g., pharmaceutical research, medical device innovation, or patient advocacy).

  • You Could Qualify for ISOO Ordinary Membership

    Thank you for your interest in joining the International Society of Ocular Oncology (ISOO). Based on your responses, you qualify for the Ordinary Membership category.

    About Ordinary Membership:
    This membership is for medically qualified professionals or basic scientists actively engaged in ophthalmic oncology. Ordinary Members have full voting rights, can participate in and lead society committees, and are eligible to serve on the Executive Committee and hold officer roles.

    Membership Term:

    • Membership is ongoing, contingent on maintaining meeting attendance and paying annual dues.
    • Members must not miss three consecutive Regular Meetings without submitting valid written excuses approved by the Executive Council.

    Requirements to Apply:

    • Evidence of Expertise: Provide either authorship/co-authorship of one or more published articles in ophthalmic oncology (cited by Medline) OR a letter of recommendation from an ISOO Ordinary Member detailing your contributions to the field.
    • Submit Your Application: Include a curriculum vitae (CV) and list of publications (if applicable).
