to the stallion “A FRENCHMANS LEDOUX” AQHA #5661233. For the 2025 ON FARM Breeding Season beginning March 15 and ending June 15, 2025. Mare owner agrees to pay the Stud Fee valued at $1,750 (unless another Stud Fee has been arranged/offered or donated.) All payments must be made payable to Taylor-Jane Gardner. Whether this is a donated breeding or discounted breeding, the $150 non-refundable BOOKING FEE is due with signing of the contract. 

PLEASE NOTE:

Mares must be ON SITE - No later then JUNE 1ST!

PRE-BREEDING ARRANGEMENTS/TIPS.

1. To save expenses on your end. Please visit your veterinary reproduction specialist and get an ultrasound done to see where your mare is in her heat cycle prior to deliverying your mare to the Farm. This will save on the number of days she will beed to be on site, once you know where she is in her cycle, we can arrange for her to come ON FARM.

2. If you have had any issues in the past with breeding of this mare it is strongly incouraged to get a culture done before sending your mare. If any issues are found then you will be able to address them while she is at home.

3. It is recommended that your mare stays ON FARM, until her first Ultrasound (approx 14 days after her heat) at Blue Sky Veterinary Clinic. After she is confirmed in foal, arrangements can be made for pick up. Other arrangements can be made, for you to pick her up after her heat & take her to your own vet to confirm pregnancy.

4. Please insure your mare is in good condition prior to arrival, it is recommended to feed Essential Fatty Acids 60 days prior to expected breeding date to help with reproductive health & increase your % of conception rates.

CHANGES TO CONTRACT

All mare changes must be submitted in writing via email at least 24 hours prior to shipment. There will be a $100 charge for all mare changes unless the original mare booked has died. 

Selling of Stallion Service purchased through Incentives or Stallion Fee purchased through donated auction service. 

1. Stallion Owner must be notified by the Seller & Buyer of the Purchased Incentive/Auction Fee. A transfer form must be filled out by the seller & the new owner of the Stallion Service and returned to the stallion owner.

2. A $150 Change Fee will be applied with the transfer form.

3. Once completed the new owner of the Purchased Incentive/Auction Fee will then be sent a Breeding Contract to fill out and return.

4. Stud Fee must be used in the breeding season it was donated UNLESS stated otherwise. 

LIMITED LIVE FOAL GUARANTEE

If the contracted mare dies or is deemed unfit to breed during the season she is contracted, a substitute mare, approved by the stallion owner, may be bred without any additional breeding fee for that same season.

A live foal is defined as one that will stand and nurse. If foal is born dead, mare owner agrees to furnish the stallion owner, within 7 days, a certification from a licensed veterinarian that the foaling was an attended foaling and deliver a written statement from vet giving details required to substantiate the failure of the mare to produce a live foal. In such case, the mare owner will have the right to rebreed contracted mare the season following the original contract ONLY, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Mare owner may substitute a different mare for the rebreeding providing that the substitute mare is of same quality and condition as the original mare approved, determined in the stallion manager’s discretion. In such a case, return privileges will be available for the season following the original contract season.

All rebreeds must pay the rebreed Farm Fee of $250 and any shipping charges applicable. If the mare owner fails to rebreed the following year after original contracted season, then any and all fees become forfeited, the right to rebreed is cancelled and the stallion owner is released from all further obligation of this contract.

ALL MARES SWITCHES MUST BE APPROVED AND EMAILED IN WRITING TO US AT A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS BEFORE ANY SHIPMENT OF SEMEN IS SENT!

If the original mare booked dies there will not be a mare change fee.

Any mare that is to be re-bred must have a clean/negative culture on file with Taylor-Jane Gardner before any semen will be sent. 

OTHER INFORMATION

The stud fees are non-refundable in the event something happens to the stallion.

Mare owner is responsible for DNA testing their mare as per AQHA and Other Association Rules before a foal can be registered.

The mare owner agrees to have mare checked within 14 days of insemination and and at approx 40 days & report back to Taylor-Jane Gardner with results of pregnancy.

MARE WILL NOT BE PUT ON BREEDING REPORT UNLESS ALL FEES HAVE BEEN PAID IN FULL. PREGNANCY STATUS HAS BEEN PROVIDED to Taylor-Jane Gardner by September 1st. Failure to do so will be at mare owner’s expense. 

NO REFUNDS GIVEN ON ANY FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CONTRACT.

On Farm - All work will be performed by Taylor-Jane Gardner, ultrasounds & any other veterinary needs will be performed by Blue Sky Veterinary Services. This services will be included in your bill with Taylor-Jane Gardner unless other arrangments are made.

Late Bookings will be subject to a Late Fee of $150.
Bookings are due by April 1st.

All invoices must be paid in full prior to mares being pick up from farm.
