Golden Gardens Walk: Saturday, November 29th 10:00am-NoonWe will meet at a determined location, photograph the building, the ponds, any waterfowl, the beaches, the mountains, the old piers and anything else that looks amazing! Bring a landscape lens if you have one, but anything in the 14-200mm telephoto lenses will be great! Come dressed for the weather and know we will be walking on sand and there might be some mud too! Free parking. Cell Phones Welcome!

Discovery Park Walk: Saturday, January 24th 9:00am-11:00amWe will meet at Discovery Park and look for owls, trees and whatever lighting conditions is present. There will be some walking, but not much elevation changes. After, we can also head down to photograph the lighthouse, but that will require more walking and some elevation changes.

Sunrise at Kerry Park overlooking Seattle: Sunday, February 8th 6:45am-7:45amWe will meet at Kerry Park to hopefully capture a wonderful winter sunrise overlooking Seattle and Mount Rainier!

Whatcom Falls Long Exposure: Saturday, March 28th 10:00am-NoonWe will meet at the Whatcom Falls Bridge and do some long exposures of the falls and the upper falls. Some walking required, but no elevation changes. Feel free to say as long as you would like!

Sunrise at the Skagit Fields: Sunday, April 12th 5:45am-7:45amSunrise at the Daffodil or Tulip Fields, Skagit Valley. We will meet at a determined location (not in one of the paid fields) to photograph the sun coming up behind the mountains with the fields in the foreground! Even if there is no golden light, we will hope for fog! A wide angle/landscape lens or a telephoto lens (like a 28-200mm, etc.) will work. A tripod is a must! If you have any filters like a polarizer or graduated neutral density filters, feel free to bring those too! After the sun comes up, feel free to head into one of the big gardens to keep shooting or just drive around the valley looking for compositions to photograph!

Kubota Gardens Walk: Saturday, May 2nd 9:00am-11:00amWe will plan to walk around the gardens and find lovely scenes and flowers to photograph!

Volunteer Park and Conservatory Walk: Saturday, June 6th 9:00am-11:00amWe will walk around the park looking for awesome and interesting things to photograph then we will head into the Conservatory ($) to photograph this amazing building and all of its plants and flowers!

Northern State Hospital Walk: Saturday, October 17th 10:00am-NoonWe will walk around this large, abandoned psychiatric hospital in Sedro-Woolley! Photographing textures, architecture and making what is normally viewed as "ugly", beautiful and interesting! (Photo is NOT from the hospital! LOL)

Sometimes it's hard to get out of the house to go be creative so I set up these FREE walks to help motivate and inspire you to help continue you on your photography journey!
