  • LIBERATION HANUKKAH

Staten Island 4 Palestine and the Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Church are proud to present Liberation Hanukkah. Hanukkah is a holiday that honors survival and perseverance in the face of oppression. While it is usually a time for celebration, for us it will also be a time of reflection and commitment to resistance. As we bear witness to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, we pray that we will emerge from the darkness of Nakba and apartheid, and continue the fight for liberation and self-determination of our Palestinian brothers and sisters. Join us in honoring the miracle of the light. Our event will feature open mic performances. Bring your songs, poems, and stories of resistance and liberation. In addition, we ask that people donate nonperishable food to the Unitarian Church's Little Free Food Pantry (on the corner of Fillmore St. and Clinton Ave) and make a donation to Waterfall of Goodness. Waterfall of Goodness is a charity bringing much needed supplies like clothes, tents, and meals to Palestinians in Gaza. This is an interfaith event and all are welcome.

  • Donations

We ask that you please make a donation to Waterfall of Goodness. Waterfall of Goodness is a charity run by Lamia Aboureida, who organizes women all over Gaza to provide the people of Gaza with basic needs. They provide much needed supplies including clothes, tents, meals, and solar energy technology. This charity is being supported by Roxanne Mustafa from Staten Island 4 Palestine. In this cold winter and brutal genocidal siege, support for their critical work is needed now more than ever. We recommend a donation of $20.00, but anything you can spare is appreciated. Please send proceeds using one of the payment methods below, and include "Waterfall of Goodness" in the description: Venmo: @mustrock Paypal/Zelle: rockmustrock@gmail.com
