  • Thank you for being your interest in volunteering for the 2025 Cleveland Asian Festival (abbreviated as CAF). Motivated volunteers like you make the festival possible!

    Please note CAF Volunteers are not volunteers at vendor, exhibitor, or sponsor booths. Please do not complete this form if you are volunteering with a vendor, exhibitor, or sponsor booth.

    As a volunteer, you will receive: a free Cleveland Asian Festival volunteer t-shirt (while supplies last), snacks, and an invitation to our volunteer reception dinner. Volunteers may sign up for more than one shift. Volunteers will receive two $5 food vouchers for every 4 hours of volunteering. Those assigned to parking will receive a $5 food voucher for every 2 hours of volunteering. These can only be earned when volunteering during the two days of the festival. Volunteers must be ages 16 or older.

    Email is our primary form of communication. All volunteer assignments will be confirmed by email in late April. All volunteers should plan to attend one mandatory orientation session; in this form, you will choose which orientation date you will attend.   • Parent/Guardian Section

    The Parent/Guardian Section is for volunteers who are 16 or 17 years of age. Please have your Parent and Guardian complete this section with you before moving on to the remainder of the Volunteer Form. If you are not 16 or 17 years of age, please click "Back" and choose the appropriate age.

  • By signing this volunteer form: I hereby represent that I am a duly authorized parent or legal guardian of the minor volunteer. I hereby, for myself, the minor volunteer, our heirs, parents, siblings, administrators, and executors waive, release, and forever discharge all rights, claims for damages, demands, or actions which we may have or may hereafter accrue to us against the Cleveland Asian Festival, its organizers, volunteers, independent contractors, sponsors and affiliated organizations, Asia Plaza, the City of Cleveland, St. Clair Superior Development Corporation, fiscal and event sponsors, and all affiliate organizations and individuals of the 2025 Cleveland Asian Festival for any property damage, illness, accident, injuries suffered, even death, by us in any manner related to the Cleveland Asian Festival, including but not limited to set-up, festival events, breakdown, clean-up, any services rendered, first aid, marketing and publicity of said festival.

    I understand that we will be volunteers at the Cleveland Asian Festival and that the Cleveland Asian Festival does not assume any responsibility or obligation to provide financial assistance or other assistance, including but not limited to, medical, health, or disability insurance.

    In the event of an accident, injury, illness, or emergency, the Cleveland Asian Festival will make an effort to contact the listed parents/guardians for volunteers who are minors if necessary, at the telephone number provided on this form.

    I am duly authorized to consent on my behalf as well as on behalf of the minor volunteer, if applicable, to the Cleveland Asian Festival (“CAF”)’s use of our names on CAF’s website(s) and social media sites as well as to authorize the Cleveland Asian Festival to photograph, videotape, film and record (including but not limited to film, tape, or any other medium), our appearance, interviews, behind the scenes work, and work as crew at CAF. CAF may also edit the same at its discretion and include it with other sights, sounds, performances, organizations, and people as well as sound effects, special effects, digital effects, and music. CAF may incorporate the same into the picture, trailers, posters, or other materials or programs related to the Cleveland Asian Festival; to use and to license others to use such records and photographs in any manner or media whatsoever, including without limitation unrestricted use for purposes of publicity, advertising and sales promotion; and to use our names, likeness, voice, biography and other information in connection with the Cleveland Asian Festival and for any other purpose associated with said festival. I acknowledge and agree that The Cleveland Asian Festival is not responsible for any unauthorized duplication, distribution, and/or use by third parties.

  • Are you a CAF Committee Member or Pre-Assigned Volunteer?

    CAF Committee Member: CAF Co-Producer, Executive Committee, or General Committee member (Activities, Health Pavilion, Logistics, Performance, Security, Vendor, Volunteer) Pre-Assigned Volunteer: You will have been recruited directly by a CAF committee member or your volunteer organization. Examples include photographers, videographers, fashion models, stage crew (Performance Committee), and members of Volunteers of Cleveland.

  • Volunteer Information

    In this section, you will indicate which time slots you are available and want to volunteer, your preferences for volunteer roles, and other details that will helpful. We will match up volunteer assignments based on these requests and confirm them in late April.

  • Shift Availability

    Please mark which shift time slots you are available and how many shifts you want to be assigned. Start/end times of shifts may be adjusted +/- 15 minutes to ease volunteer check in/out processes.

  • Indicate your interest levels for the roles below. As CAF Committees begin working to plan for the 2025 Festival, these roles may be subject to change depending on festival needs. The Volunteer Committee will take preferences into account; however, assignments will be made to best suit the festival's needs and are subject to change.   • Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement

  • I understand that by volunteering for a committee of The Cleveland Asian Festival (“CAF”), I may have access to information regarding current and prospective vendors, volunteers, sponsors, processes, as well as other information about CAF (collectively “Confidential Information”). I further understand that this Confidential Information may include personally identifiable information and information which is protected from unauthorized disclosure by CAF and applicable federal, state and local laws. I understand and agree that any access to this Confidential Information is solely for the purposes of performing my duties as a volunteer of CAF, and that I will not access, copy, disclose, or otherwise use this information for any other purpose not directly authorized by CAF. I agree to keep this information completely confidential; however, as needed to fulfill my volunteer activities, I may disclose such confidential information to other CAF volunteers who have signed this Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement. I understand and agree that I am not authorized to keep or retain any electronic or hard copies of documents or other information that has been provided to me unless specially authorized in writing by the CAF Executive Committee, and I will follow any specific instructions from the CAF Executive Committee regarding the return or destruction of such confidential information. I also understand that unauthorized and inappropriate disclosure or use of this information may subject me to liability under applicable civil and/or criminal laws.     If you are a pre-assigned volunteer, you will have been instructed by either a CAF committee member or your volunteer organization that you are.   • Mandatory Volunteer Orientation

    All volunteers should attend a volunteer orientation. In-person orientations will take place at Li Wah in Asia Plaza located at 2999 Payne Ave., Cleveland OH 44114. First-time volunteers should plan to attend this in-person orientation. When we begin confirming schedules and roles for the festival in April, we will also re-confirm your orientation date. Orientations are typically 60-90 minutes in duration.
