The City of Maple Valley is proud to provide several free community events in the summer which offer live entertainment as a key element of the event. This includes our Independence Day Celebration, Kids Festival, and the Music-in-the-Park Concert Series! Please take a moment to fill out your band's information and let us know your availability for our 2025 events.
Application Due Date: January 12th, 2025
Selections Finalized: February 9th, 2025
Event Location: Lake Wilderness Park 22500 SE 248th Street, Maple Valley, WA 98038
A stage measuring 20’(width) x 18’(depth) is set up outdoors in the park. The stage will have a basic canopy.
Sound Engineering: The City works with a contracted sound engineer to provide a complete sound system and technical assistance during each concert. Staff will connect you with the sound engineer to review stage plots and equipment information prior to the event date.
Contract & Payment Details: Upon selection, the band will need to submit a W9 Form. An official City contract will be developed and must be signed before the band is booked. The city will provide payment in full for the band's performance via check at the end of the performance as outlined in the contract.
Selection Criteria may include:
- Fees (Limited City funding available)
- Quality of Music
- Fit for the event and audience (family- friendly and "upbeat/danceable"; we aim to have a mix of genres for a balanced concert series)
- Matching theme to our movie selection (TBD)
- Proximity of band to Maple Valley
