Junior Volunteer Registration 2025
  • Junior Volunteer Registration 2025

  • Please review the following before completing this application:

    Requirements to Volunteer:

    1. 14-15 years  of age. If you are 16+ years old, please locate our volunteer registration form on our website.

    2. You MUST be avaliable July 30th - August 3rd, 2025. You must be present the entirety of training on July 30th and camp, until campers have departed. If you have to leave camp early or are unable to attend, you will not be issued a refund.

    3. A registration fee will be required before your application can be processed and approved. The fee is $90, however if you register early (prior to April 1st), your fee will be discounted to $75. This fee helps offset the cost of your training, lodging, food, supplies, and t-shirt. You will provide an email at the end of this form that an invoice will be sent to.

    Duties at Camp:

    1. Junior volunteers are not required to have prior experience working with children with special needs or disabilities. Because of this, we require a full day of training prior to camper arrival. You will recieve training on these duties in more detail at that time.

    2. Volunteers ages 16+ will be paired directly with a camper. As a junior volunteer, you will not. You will be assigned a cabin and you will rotate with that cabin to each activity station. You will help volunteers and staff as needed. When not directly needed for a supporting task, junior volunteers will engage with the campers to create a fun and playful camp experience for the camper.

    3. All junior volunteers, volunteers, and staff will not be allowed phones once campers arrive. You will turn them in to be kept securely until camper departure. This will keep campers safe as well as allow you time to be present with our campers.

    4. You may be asked to help a volunteer or a staff member with camper needs. This may look like helping a camper brush their teeth, tie their shoes, or get their life jacket on for swimming. You will not, however, be allowed to assist in tolieting/showering a camper.

    5. No one, at any time, under any circumstances, will be alone with a camper. This helps us ensure camper safety. You will be either with your entire cabin or the entire camp during activities. If a camper requires some time away to decompress, a volunteer or staff member may ask you to join them to ensure they are not alone with their camper.

    6. During camper "cot time" (a nap or quiet time for campers), junior volunteers and volunteers will be given a break. You are allowed to do what you please during this time as long as it is not disruptive to camper cot time. You will not be allowed technology back at this time.

    7. After the camper's in your cabin are asleep at the end of the night, your cabin (junior volunteers, volunteers, and staff) will have "family time". This is a time meant to decompress, reconnect with the Lord and one another, and to prepare for the next day.

    8. Volunteers will be expected to adhere to the dress code.

    9. Volunteers will be expected to model Christ-like behavior for our campers (no cursing, using empowering language, and making wise decisions).

A volunteer manual and packing list will be sent to you after acceptance of your application. You may email Collins@hopeshaventn.com to request the manual prior to applying.

We look forward to seeing you!
