    April 1st - April 30th
  • Join us for our 2025 Community Book Drive Challenge! Together we can help ensure that all children in our community have access to age-appropriate books!

    Any business or community group is welcome to join the challenge. All you have to do is collect children’s books from employees, customers, neighborhoods, etc. The drives can be employees only or customer facing, and companies can be creative – challenge your local competitor to see who can collect the most books, host a special drive through a book drive event, the possibilities are endless!  We will have a special prize for the winners of each category based on number of employees or members (1-50, 51-300, 301-500 and 500+). Please remember this is a fun competition and all results are final.

    Throughout the event you can earn bonus points by updating our shared form with book counts throughout the month and by posting on Instagram or Facebook and tagging @SpreadtheWordNVNorthern.

  • Book Drop Off Information

    We will be hosting a celebratory event for book drop offs on May 2nd from 10am-2pm at America First Credit Union (1440 E. Lincoln Way, Sparks).* Please schedule your time for drop off below. Volunteers will be on site to help unload the book donations. If you are unable to attend on May 2nd, please email Courtney at cvogt@stwn.org to schedule a time for drop off.

  • Community Book Drive Business Challenge Guidelines

    • Businesses and Community Groups can collect books/or monetary donations from April 1st - April 30th.
    • Each children's book will count as 1 point and every $1 donated will count as 1 point.
    • Download our sample flyer here and add your logo or create your own. The QR code on the flyer is the donation link for the Community Book Drive. 
    • There will be an opportunity for bonus points for updating weekly book counts on shared form and posting and tagging @SpreadtheWordNVNorthern on Facebook and Instagram.
    • Books must be dropped off on May 2nd at the event or a drop off must be scheduled with the STWN office prior to May 9th. No books will be counted for competition if dropped off after May 9th. 
    • Winners will be those with the most points in each category based on number of employees or members (1-50, 51-300, 301-500, and 500+).
    • Winners will be announced on Monday, May 19th! 
    • All results are final.
