• Camp Horse Application & Contract

Thank you for considering sending your horse to Camp Reed as one of Horse Heritage's string of horses.
  • Horses are care leased for the duration of camp.  This year camp is July 11-25, 2026.  During the week horses are housed in separate pens, fed twice daily, water is available at all times.

Horses may be ridden by either students or staff while at camp.  We reserve the right to decide their workload (not to exceed 5 hours/day) and the capacity in which they are used.  Horses used for students are paid $9/working hour with a stipend to work 5 hour/week.  Any work over that is paid by the hour worked.  "Working hour" may include mounted and unmounted time with campers.  Horses used for staff are paid $4/working hour.

We would love to come and meet your horse prior to camp to ensure they are a fit for our program!
