Edwards County Farm Bureau Foundation Collegiate Scholarship Application 2025
The last few years, around $4,500 has been awarded annually in scholarships.
At least one scholarship in the amount of at least $1,000 will be awarded for the 2025-2026 academic year. The scholarship(s) will be awarded in two installments: 50% each semester upon proof of enrollment. In order to be eligible, the applicants must meet or complete the following requirements:
1. The applicant must be working towards an agriculture related degree in the sophomore, junior, or senior level during the 2025-2026 academic year. Applicant may also be working towards a Masters or Doctoral degree in an agricultural field, including veterinary medicine or a degree in agricultural law. *Juniors and Seniors, and those working towards advanced degrees will be considered before sophomores.
2. The applicant must be enrolled as a full time student.
3. The applicant must have been or be a resident of Edwards County, Illinois or attended Edwards County High School.
4. The applicant must be, or be willing to become if awarded this scholarship, a member of the Edwards County Farm Bureau.
5. The applicant must complete this form, in it's entirely, and submit it by March 15, 2025.
6. The applicant must attach at least two character references to this application. (If reference prefers, letter can be delivered to the Edwards County Farm Bureau office by March 15, 2025.)
7. The applicant must attach their high school and college transcripts.
The recipient(s) of the scholarship will be selected based on the above requirements, their personal accomplishments, leadership skills, career goals relating to agriculture, and academic excellence. The Edwards County Farm Bureau Foundation Trustees have the final discretion on the number of scholarships given and amounts awarded.
The recipient(s) will be contacted around April 15, 2025.

The reference should detail how the individual knows the applicant, what their position or title is, and a phone number where they can be reached.
