Our open mic features are designed to provide poets with visibility and exposure in a safe, supportive environment where their voices are heard and celebrated. These featured poets close out our open mic list segment, just before the headlining poet takes the stage. Each featured performer will receive a high-quality video of their performance, which will also be shared on our social media channels. While this opportunity is NOT paid, we are committed to making sure every poet who graces our stage feels valued and appreciated through the enriching experience that Say Word offers. Many of our open mic features have gone on to expand their networks and secure additional performance opportunities. This experience serves as a stepping stone for growth, with the potential to become a headlining feature, either with us or on other platforms that recognize their talent.
