Over 10 weeks, you’ll work 30 hours a week at a local business, participate in engaging life skills workshops, and enjoy exciting activities like jet skiing and team-building events. Important: Before You Begin Your Application

 To complete this application smoothly, make sure you have the following ready:

1. Contact information for a reference who knows you well. This cannot be a friend or immediate family member.

2. A copy of your most recent transcript

3. A photo of your identification documents (ID) (i.e., Passports, State, School, Learner's Permit, or others)

4. Parent or guardian contact information.

5. The time and focus on answering thought-provoking questions about yourself.

DevelopMore is a workforce development program that places participants with employers for summer jobs in Ocean City, MD. Employers are legally required to verify each employee's eligibility for employment via Form I-9.

On the form, employees must attest to their employment authorization. Employees must also present their employer with acceptable documents as evidence of identity and employment authorization. The employer must examine these documents to determine whether they reasonably appear genuine and relate to the employee, then record the information on the employee’s Form I-9.

Step 2 of Form I-9 addresses citizenship or immigration status. You must be either a US citizen, a noncitizen national of the US (e.g., American Samoa), a lawful permanent resident, or a noncitizen authorized to work.

The next step is to provide one letter of recommendation from someone who can speak to your character.

Please note: Recommendations cannot be from family members, friends, or other youth.

Acceptable recommenders include:

• Education Professionals (e.g., Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Advisor, Coach)

• Community Leaders (e.g., Mentor, Business Owner)

• Religious Leaders (e.g., Pastor, Bishop)

This step is a test of your responsibility. You will need to provide the name of your recommender, their email address, and how long you’ve known them.

Once you’ve entered their information, it is your responsibility to contact them and ask them to visit the provided link to complete your letter of recommendation.
