The Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2025 Collegiate Ambassador Program. This program offers college students a unique opportunity to engage with the All-State Conference while building connections and gaining professional experience. Collegiate Ambassadors play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the conference and concert programs.
Dates
Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, at 12pm through March 29, 2025, at 5pm
Locations
- Wednesday-Friday: DCU Center and Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA.
- Saturday: Symphony Hall in Boston, MA. and Grades 4-12 Treble Chorus in Worcester, MA
Housing
Double-occupancy rooms are provided for ambassadors requesting accommodations.
Meals
Meals are provided, and dietary restrictions will be accommodated.
What Will You Be Doing?
Collegiate Ambassadors will assist with a variety of conference activities, including:
- Greeting and engaging with music educators and staff from across Massachusetts.
- Supporting MMEA staff by presiding over sessions (introducing presenters and assisting with technical setups, such as projectors).
- Participating in keynote sessions and networking events.
- Building connections with collegiate peers from institutions statewide.
Assisting All-State Ensembles.
- Moving equipment between various conference and performance sites.

- Opportunities to build relationships with leaders in music education.
Application Process:
- Form Opens: Dec. 30th, 2024
- Deadline: February 1st, 2025, at 11:59 pm
- Notification of Acceptance: February 10, 2025
Time Commitment
Ambassadors are expected to participate fully from 12:00 on Wednesday, March 27, through 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 29. Time conflicts will be considered on a case-by-case basis; please include any conflicts in your application.
How Will Applications Be Evaluated?
Dr. Allyn Phelps, the collegiate advisor, will anonymize applications and distribute them to the collegiate board and other MMEA members for evaluation. Applications will be assessed based on:
- Availability
- Quality of responses to application questions.
- Demonstrated commitment to participation.
- Applicant’s advisor’s feedback.
