🌿 Reconnect. Regulate. Reimagine Therapy. 🌿
Intro to Eco-Somatic Practice for Therapists
A trauma-informed, body-centered, Earth-rooted approach to clinical work
Join us for a transformative introductory Eco-Somatic training created for master’s level mental health professionals ready to explore the rich intersection of trauma theory, somatics, and ecotherapy. Discover how to engage one of the most powerful—and often forgotten—coregulators in the healing process: the Earth itself.
This is more than just another CEU opportunity—it’s an invitation to embody deeper connection. You’ll leave with practical, nature-based tools to support your clients’ nervous systems and your own, while cultivating a grounded, reciprocal relationship with the Earth as a co-regulator and healing ally.
Earth is not just a backdrop. It’s a collaborator. A witness. A coregulator.
Through an intersectional lens that blends ecopsychology, somatic psychology, social justice, decolonization, and EMDR, you’ll learn to integrate eco-somatic practices into trauma-informed care for more effective stabilization, embodied presence, and sustainable healing.
🌍 Why Eco-Somatics?
Earth is the largest, most accessible, and most forgotten of all coregulators.
She holds us. Nourishes us. Regulates us.
Through cultivating an honest and reciprocal relationship with Earth, we open to a deeper experience of coregulation.
Eco-Somatics invites us to consider:
What if we viewed Earth as an extension of our bodies?
In ecotherapy and Indigenous wisdom traditions, this is known as the Earth-Body or Ecological Self.
🌀 Training Objectives:
Define the intersection of applied ecopsychology and somatic psychology (Eco-Somatics)
Gain an embodied understanding of the synthesis of ecotherapy and somatics
Describe how nature can act as a coregulator in session—for both client and therapist
Learn how to interweave eco-somatic approaches into your clinical practice
Experientially practice at least 3 eco-somatic resourcing methods to begin using right away
