Payment Due You pay, I’ll bake! A 50% retainer is required up front so that I can source your cute cutters, spectacular sprinkles, fabulous food colors and the perfect packaging. Your balance will be due a week before pick up.
Refunds
I can offer refunds up to 24 hours after the payment has been accepted. If I have already started your order, refunds will be given on a case by case basis depending on where I am in the process. If you need to cancel please contact me asap!
Cottage Food Laws
Johanna K Creations is a home based business and operates under the Maryland Cottage Food Law. State law requires me to let you know that I bake in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Department of State Heath Services or a local health department. I can assure you that every possible care is taken to insure clean, sanitary conditions. Our kitchen is not nut free, egg free, dairy free, or gluten free. Delivery
All orders are pick-up only. Delivery, based on availability, can be an option for an additional cost based on round trip mileage. Right around the corner? (Well hi there neighbor!) we may be able to fit in a cookie delivery with our local errands for free. Doesn’t hurt to ask.
Change Cutoff
Decisions are tough! But I’m here to help. Order changes can be made up until 10 days before your pick up date. After that, all change requests will be under consideration and a small fee will apply. Please note this also applies to changes of pick up date.
Inspiration
Thanks tons for sending those inspo pictures! They are just that – inspiring. But your cookies may not be perfect replicas – I will try to keep it close.
Color Matching
A picture is worth a thousand words but they're not always accurate when it comes to color. Lighting, screens and resolution can all make a difference.
In A Hurry?
While I can’t accommodate all last minute orders, I will make my best effort to. Orders placed with a turnaround time of under 5 days will require a rush fee of 10% of the order total. Orders with a turnaround time of under 3 days will require a miracle fee of 25% of the order total.
Price Adjustments
All prices are subject to change. Prices are often dictated by ingredient costs. I’m always trying to provide the best tasting cookies to my clients. This also means that I can’t honor old pricing (because the grocery store won’t honor their old flour prices – darn it).
Eenie Meenie Order Minimums
(That didn’t rhyme – I’m a baker not a poet). I require a minimum of 1 dozen for standard to large cookies. Need fewer? Stay tuned for a holiday sale or pop up shop announcement on my Facebook or Instagram page!
Product Photography
Say Cheese!! I take pictures of all of my cookies in order to send you a sneak peek before pick up and to post on social media. If you do not want your cookies in the spotlight, please let me know at the time you place your order. Secrets are safe with me.
Copycats
Copyright images (think Star Wars, Disney Princesses, and Bluey) are protected and I won’t be able to replicate them baked as goods (who wants a cookie controversy, right?). We can make a similar color palette or invoke the theme though so let’s talk!
Bulk Order?
Due to the custom work required for each cookie, we are unable to extend discounts regardless of quantity. If you have a specific budget you are working with, feel free to let me know in advance and I’ll do my best to offer you a solution that fits your budget.
It's All Yours Now!
Once you pick-up your order (thanks again, by the way), what happens to your cookies, and car doors (I hate door dings) is all on you! Keep ‘em safe, keep ‘em cool, and keep ‘em away from the parking lot cart returns.
