This year, the Southlake Women's Club Foundation will be awarding approximately $12,000 in scholarship(s) to senior(s) graduating from Carroll Senior High School. The applicant should plan to be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school by the first fall semester following the announcement of the scholarship award.
The scholarship(s) are awarded to the student(s), and a check is made payable to the registrar at the recipient's school of choice. A copy of the student's registration must be submitted to the SWC treasurer before a check will be sent to the registrar. The student must be registered for a minimum of twelve (12) semester hours. Scholarship recipient(s) must use the funds awarded within a twelve-month period from the date of the award.
Acceptance by the recipient(s) of a full scholarship from another source constitutes disqualification for the Southlake Women's Club Foundation Scholarship. The SWCF Scholarship will then be awarded to the next eligible candidate(s).
In case of illness or other contingency that would prevent the enrollment of the selected applicant at the next regular semester in the college chosen, the Southlake Women's Club Scholarship Committee would determine further disposition.
Criteria that will be considered for selection of the Southlake Women's Club Scholarship recipient(s) include:
1. Financial need
2. Character and leadership
3. School and community involvement
4. Volunteer work/Community service
Scholarship recipient(s) will be announced at the Carroll Senior High School Awards Assembly in May. If you have any questions, please contact the Scholarship Treasurer.
