Faculty Retention (%): is a measure of how many faculty members stay at DMU over one academic year.
Faculty Retention Percent =
(Number of faculty who stayed / Total number of faculty during the same month last year) × 100
N.B. Do not consider the faculty hired in this period in the calculation.
Example:
If you had 10 faculty members in June 2024, and 9 of them are still employed at the end of the year:
Retention Percent = (9 / 10) × 100 = 90%
