Doctors In Recital is a community event led by local physicians which raises funds to support area programs that improve the health, wellness and quality of life in Brown County. Beneficiaries are selected at the start of the planning year through a competitive application process. To date, over one-half million dollars has been donated to community charities since the program's first event in 2007.
In order to be eligible to apply, the program must be sponsored by a 501c3 organization serving Brown County, and applicants are measured against their equitable reach across Brown County.
Doctors In Recital selects one primary event partner, also selecting a secondary partner when applicable in order to meet their mission as a 501c3: to make annual charitable donations to community nonprofits and music education programs.
Applicants looking to partner with Doctors in Recital would need to be a community service organization OR a music education program, but could potentially be both.
The following is considered outside of program grant funding (we do not fund):
- Grants to individuals
- Events that occur before funding is awarded (we only fund events scheduled to occur AFTER Doctors In Recital show in January 2026)
- Political organizations or causes
- Requests for support from government agencies (schools would need to have a 501c3)
- Capital campaigns or endowments
The application deadline is Saturday, February 8, 2025. The Doctors In Recital board will review all applications and invite finalists by Monday, Feb. 24 to the next stage of interviews.
The top finalists will be invited to interview either Sunday, March 9, or Monday, March 10, 2025, with the chosen 2026 partners announced by end of March. Please save those dates from 5:30-8:30 PM to be available for interviews.
The 2026 concert will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, at The Weidner.
