    Ignite your passion, unlock your potential, and make a difference at the 2026 June Korea Youth Summit!

    ​​Seoul, Korea Youth Summit 2026 is one of 6 annual international summits organized by our partners Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB) Foundation. This summit will encourage future leaders who break the boundaries of their abilities to discuss and take action in Innovation and Collaboration: Unlocking Youth-driven Solutions for Sustainability with a focus on preserving culture.

    With these themes, IYS 2026 also encourages young people from all backgrounds and sectors to collaborate together and utilize their leadership capabilities in helping and realizing to make sustainable development goals become achievable.

    Join us for an unforgettable gathering of global youth leaders, where empowerment, collaboration, and innovation take center stage. Prepare yourself for an immersive experience filled with inspiring speakers and networking opportunities with like-minded changemakers from around the world.

    The International youth summits encourages young people from all backgrounds and sectors to collaborate together and utilize their leadership capabilities in helping and realizing to make sustainable development goals become achievable.

    Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are sustainable development efforts that become a reference in the framework of development and negotiations of countries in the world as a substitute for the global development of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which ended in 2015.

    Program Details:
    All accepted NZ ETL representative's selected will work together to present on a social project that they believe is impacting their community and present their innovatives ideas that they believe could address some of these local and/or national global issues/challenges.  Post the summit all ETL ambassadors will have the opportunity to explore & experience Seoul, Korea.

    We will be taking 16 young adult leaders to the 2026 Seoul, Korea youth summit.

    + Applications open 3 Nov 25 - Applications close Friday 7 Nov 25 at 10pm
    + Notification of decision 10 Nov 25 & First team meeting TBC
    + Depart NZ: 31st Jan 26
    + Summit Dates: 2-5 Feb 26
    + Post Seoul, Korea Tour: 6-11 Feb 26
    + Depart Seoul, Korea: 11 Feb 26
    + One day tour Guangzhou, China: 11 Feb 26
    + Arrive, New Zealand: 12 Feb 26
    + Participant Age: 17 - 25 years old (some exceptions may be made outside of this age range & will be made at the discretion of the judges panel)
    + Participant Numbers: 16 spaces available (8 males / 8 females)

    ​​Program Fee:
    All ETL representative's leaders selected will be required to fundraise with the support of ETL for the cost of this trip. The cost will be approximately $3500 which includes: Return airfares, Youth Summit Conference Fee (includes summit accommodation, all meals (Breakfast, lunch & dinner) and organised day tour of Seoul by private charter bus, Post summit accommodation, In country transport, Sim-card with unlimited data and 5 day unlimited explore seoul attraction pass.

    Who are we looking for?
    We welcome diverse applicants from all backgrounds. You don't need to be studying, and you don't need top grades however you will need to have an interest in helping to contriubte to making your community a better place while being confident to participate in discussions.  Being a current leader and/or volunteer will be an advantage with your application.  We are looking for applicants who can display qualities like cultural awareness, initiative and confidence. Being able to act as an ambassador for New Zealand while overseas is important.  This is an open application however applications from those connected to any of the CBNZ Trust projects will be prioritised first.

    Who can apply?
    Most of our travel opportunities are open to those who meet the following criteria:
    - New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
    - Have been a resident in New Zealand for at least 12 of the previous 24 months
    - Medically fit to travel (successful applicants will need to agree to complete any routine medical checks, such as COVID-19 tests etc)
    - Able to attend the full duration of your proposed programme overseas and pre orientation workshops.
    - Eligible for an entry visa into your host country.
