This agreement is between you (hereinafter referred to as "Advertiser") and Visit Occoquan, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Producers") for the purposes of purchasing print advertising space in the Spring/Summer 2025 Occoquan Visitors Guide.
The Producers contract for the design and printing of this publication to other companies (hereinafter reffered collectively as "Contractors").
1. Payment
Full payment is due when submitting this form, to reserve your advertising spot.
Payment is non-refundable. Should Advertiser not supply artwork by the posted deadline, refunds will not be provided. Payments will be made to Visit Occoquan, Inc. who in turn will pay for all expenses related to the publication, in coordination with the Town of Occoquan.
2. Deadlines
Art files are required NO LATER than Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11:59pm. Earlier is better in case there are issues with your file type or size. Refunds will not be provided for reserved ads that are not submitted correctly by the deadline.
3. Special Rates
Special rates for Occoquan businesses and residents are only valid for current members in good standing.
The Town of Occoquan will verify all applicants who select "Town Business or Resident". To receive this special rate, the Advertiser must have a current town business license OR be a resident of the Town of Occoquan. Both businesses and residents must be in good standing to receive a discount.
4. Advertisement Approval and Restrictions
All content is approved at the sole discretion of the Producers. The Producers may decline any advertisement based on design or content, for any reason.
This is a family-friendly publication. Images or text depicting themes such as, but not limited to, political activity, nudity, cursing, illegal activities, drugs, or hate speech are prohibited.
5. Design, Proofing, and Color Disclaimer
Design services are not included in this agreement.
All advertisements will be printed “as is.” The Producers and/or it's Contractors will not provide edits, adjustments, or corrections to supplied artwork.
The Advertiser is responsible for proofing all content and design elements prior to submission. The Producers and/or it's Contractors are not responsible for typo’s, misspellings, omitted or incorrect text, errors, or any costs associated with redesigning or correcting advertisements.
The Advertiser understands that the appearance of ink colors on a computer monitor will vary based on the calibration of the computer monitor. For this reason, ink colors on the finished product may vary slightly from their appearance on the computer monitor. Advertiser understands that due to the nature of digital and offset printing, there may be variations in ink coverage, impression, coverage, and trimming. Advertiser understands the possibility of such variations in material, ink color and printing and agrees that it shall not hold the Producers and/or it's Contractors liable for such variations.
6. Additional Terms
Advertiser agrees to the following terms:
- This issue will run from March 1, 2025 through August 31, 2025.
- Advertisements are sold on a first come, first served basis and may sell out prior to the commitment/payment deadline.
- The number of pages in the publication may change at any time and may vary from issue to issue.
- The purchase of advertisement(s) does not guarantee or increase the chances of the Advertiser being included in editorials or articles created by the Producers.
- Advertisement(s) purchased are for the Spring/Summer 2025 issue only and will not be included in any future issues, the visitoccoquanva.com website, or other publications produced by the Town of Occoquan or Visit Occoquan, Inc.
- With the exception of inside front cover and inside back cover, the exact placement of an advertisement within the publication is not guaranteed. Location of an advertisement may change from issue to issue.
- The Producers may use photos or images of advertisements, within the context of the publication, for marketing or social media purposes.
- Rates for future publications are subject to change at any time without notice.
7. Returns, Refunds, Force Majeure
In the event of a cancellation of an issue or issues of this publication prior to printing and distributing of said issue or issues, refunds will be supplied for the cancelled issue(s) only.
If the performance of this Agreement or any obligations stated is prevented, restricted or interfered with by reason of earthquake, fire, flood or other casualty or due to strikes, riot, storms, explosions, acts of God, war, terrorism, or a similar occurrence or condition beyond the reasonable control of the Publisher or the Producers, the Client so affected shall understand that any failure or delay resulting therefrom shall not be considered a breach of this Agreement.
This program may be cancelled at any time, at the discretion of the Producers.
Should the Producers agree to provide a refund for a mistake or incorrect selection by the Advertiser, credit card fees up to 6% will be deducted from that refund.
